Re: Everton v Fulham
Armchair manfully filling the “Thor” role here. Sounded like we did everything but score. Will watch the highlights, hopefully positive signs.

Yeah, not all bad by any means. Fulham will count themselves lucky.

Well that was a new twist on last season. Now we make loads more chances but still never look like scoring.
Worst missed were Duke’s one on one, and Patterson’s open goal when he hit the bar, but Maupay tops the chart for sheer number of missed chances.
Should have won, Fulham were nothing great, but I don’t think it’s unreasonable to suggest we will be in another relegation battle this season.
I thought Goodison was fairly subdued today. We’ve probably just been battered into submission.

You’d rather have it this way thought, right? Eventually big Dom or big Yussef or big Norberto Bercique Gomes Betuncal will get on the end of one and we’ll run riot?

I have a feeling we’ll never score again, but I might be being overly pessimistic

Performance was ok but couldn't hit a cow's arse with a banjo. Gonna be a long, dismal season. Another home defeat to a bang average team.

Re: Everton v Fulham
I can but echo the comments already made. I thought we created quite a few chances and how we managed to not even score once was very unlucky. Maupay, at least he got into the right spots, but he has a tendency to hit the ball straight at the goalie instead of aiming for a corner. Hence, Leno making some "great saves" when in reality he just made himself big. If Duke scores in the 5th minute or whatever it was, I think we win the game.
I thought Fulham moved the ball around well, but apart from that, I don't know, not that terribly impressive. But they scored on one of their few real chances while we didn't. So it goes.

Re: Everton v Fulham
Keane's disallowed goal was ridiculous too.... Leno dropped the ball !
Poor refereeing decision .. again, what is the point of having VAR ?

Re: Everton v Fulham
Correct, Leno simply dropped the ball, but the goalies are being overprotected and that's why the ref blew the whistle. Leon Osman was the co-commentator for the game and made the point that the whistle was very harsh on Everton and likened it with should the defender get out of the striker's way not to interfere with play then? He phrased it a bit better than what I just did there, but I think you get it.Made 4 Gwladys wrote:Keane's disallowed goal was ridiculous too.... Leno dropped the ball !
