Fulham v Everton
I'll be making my way up to London for my once-a-decade trip to see the mighty Blues in person. Hopefully we can get at least a point to make the trip worth while. COYB!

We are an unchanged side from the last game. And we are on national TV in the USA. Time to show the yanks how awesome we are!

Re: Fulham v Everton
FT 0-0
Very even at times .. Fulham on top in the 2nd half.
DCL should have scored in the 1st half from a delicious cross by Demi
away point, clean sheet... fine

Excellent defensive performance. Still lacking going forward but pleased with that overall.
Thought Mykolenko had a blinder today.

Re: Fulham v Everton
Fulham were pretty good, except for their finishing. I thought we were lucky to nick a point, but Coady/Tarks excellent as usual, and Mykolenko probably played his best game in a while for us. We have a big problem going forward - nothing particularly creative in midfield, and a weak front three.
I like DCL, but at this level there is absolutely no excuse for some of his offsides. Ridiculous.
Dunno what has happened to Gordon, but I'm starting to think last season was a one-off.

Re: Fulham v Everton
Only the second team to keep a clean sheet against the free-scoring cottagers this season. We’re not particularly exciting as a team but we’re doing a lot of the basics well, which we really, really weren’t last season - when we’d have lost this game by 4 goals. Still need another forward, and someone who can do some of what iwobi does. Gordon is a bit of a concern because when a transfer was on the cards earlier this season he was playing out of his skin.
Re: Fulham v Everton
Pretty even affair, although Fulham overall were slightly better I think a draw was a pretty fair result in the end.
Pickford - very good, crucial saves, especially in the first half.
CMs Tark/Coady - did very well. Not sure why Tark played with red boots though.
Fullbacks Coleman-Patterson/Myko - Myko with loads of very good blocks and defensive work. Doesn't offer much going forward. Coleman-Patterson, OK, nothing special.
Midfield - Onana and Iwobi did well I thought. Not that creative but solid. Gray/Gordon are both frustrating as hell. Holds on to the ball for too long most times and run in to blinds alleys and end up losing the ball. Gordon was a training ground cone at times when Fulham attacked down their left. And don't get me started with his "headers", it's like he's afraid of the ball. We won't get even half of what was reported in the press over the summer if we were to sell him now. Gana needs to be careful with possession in the middle, again.
DCL - leaps very well, but that chance after 20 minutes, he needs to score there. Otherwise, didn't do much to stand out, quiet day.

Re: Fulham v Everton
Fulham were the better team but not by much. We still look a bit limited going forward.
Had a couple of pints by the river and that is a decent point, so a good day out all in all.

Glad you enjoyed it mate.
I only saw the second half and Myko was the standout performer from what I saw. As a footballer he's no Digne, but he's great at what Digne wasn't very good at - stopping crosses from coming in.
We talked in August about keeping our heads above water this side of the world cup, and we're doing that. Clear and steady progress - we're no longer a shambles, we're pragmatic, hard-nosed and a bit boring. The lack of creativity needs to be fixed of course, but otherwise we're moving in the right direction. Four points from the next two games before the WC and I'll be very happy.

Yes, I've said it many times (like most things), but all I ask from Everton is for them not to be a shambles, not to make me cry too often, occasionally to get me off my feet with excitement, and not be arseholes like The Shite or the Barcodes.
