3-1. Good finish but poor defending again.

I was in a bar with about 25 Evertonians and 5 CP fans. I was screaming very loudly about my displeasure regarding the backpass there mate.Made 4 Gwladys wrote:where is Thor to condemn the backpass ?

Yeah, deserved win for Palace, they were the better team. Chased us down in packs not allowing much time on the ball.
Rondon scored, but fook me, sub Richie for the teeth-master? Unreal.
On the third goal, Coleman was clearly, I think, trying to kick the ball at the Palace player so the ref could book him, but missed the legs of the player and the ball went to Gomes who, naturally, was surrounded by Palace players. And then Gallagher got the ball. Nice strike, but so unnecessary.
At least my smothered burrito at the pub was good.

Yep, rush of blood to Coleman's head, although a quality strike for the goal. Similarly an individual error from Gray for the first. For me the biggest issue was the second goal and the way we set up to defend the corner. Not for the first time this season the zonal marking and nobody on the post undid us. The blame for that is squarely at Benitez' feet. When will we learn?

Our prem time feels near the end. Taken down by FSW. Oh the irony!!!! This is a dreadful bunch with no heart and no idea and our only chance of surviving is that there are possibly 3 worse teams. Although that is looking less likely with every dire game. Obviously 0 points from the next 2 games, the Newcastle game after that and the few to follow will define our season. I currently dont fancy our chances. We are Shite!!!

With 20 minutes to play, we went into a different gear, and as the commentator said "Why did it take Everton so long to push on like this?"callmebubbles wrote:Our prem time feels near the end. With a better finish by Gordon, things would be different. When we want to, we looked aggressive and purposeful.
I'm sure that the players don't learn how to do what Gray and Coleman did, at Finch Farm, so I don't share your bleak thoughts.

The run over Christmas and New Year looks so important - Burnley, Newcastle and Brighton, then the cup game at Hull, followed by Norwich, Villa and Newcastle again. We should win all of them, but all of those teams will be looking forward to playing us

Re: Crystal Palace v Everton
This really turned out to be the game that kept giving..... following the defeat at Palace, Richarlison is out for a number of weeks with a calf tear, Townsend has broken a small bone in his foot, and Coleman has bone bruising and soft tissues damage.
Fucking fuckity fuck.
Fucking fuckity fuck.

Re: Crystal Palace v Everton
Still 12-1 to go down, with Skybet. Snap up those odds. They will disappear with every loss, and without half the team through injury, there are going to be a LOT of defeats

we need to be recalling Nkounkou & Kean from loan ... tough shit if they don't like it...hairy cataract wrote:This really turned out to be the game that kept giving..... following the defeat at Palace, Richarlison is out for a number of weeks with a calf tear, Townsend has broken a small bone in his foot, and Coleman has bone bruising and soft tissues damage.

...mind you we probably put a clause in that the loan can't be recalled
