Not sure how much is left on his contract, but I wouldn't be that upset if he never featured for us again.Made 4 Gwladys wrote:Gone to Crystal Palace on loan....

I hope he does well at Palace. He might score a few if they can provide him with some service.

There could be a potential departure from Everton for 29-year-old Turkey forward Cenk Tosun, with Dutch side Feyenoord interested. (Footballoranje.com)

OK, but who is going to replace him?

I could. And I'd even settle for 2/3 of his wages. Problem fixed.Armchair wrote:Made 4 Gwladys wrote:There could be a potential departure from Everton for 29-year-old Turkey forward Cenk Tosun, with Dutch side Feyenoord interested. (Footballoranje.com)

Re: 28 - Cenk Tosun - Turkish Delight
West Bromwich Albion want to take Everton striker Cenk Tosun on loan next month with former Blues boss Sam Allardyce eyeing a reunion with the Turk, according to a report.
The Boot Room cites a piece in today's Sunday People as claiming that Big Sam wants both Tosun - who he brought to Goodison Park from Besiktas for £27million in January 2018
Re: 28 - Cenk Tosun - Turkish Delight
Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti will not stand in the way of any players who want to leave this month but says there have been no approaches for 29-year-old Turkey forward Cenk Tosun.
I find that very strange, especially considering how fantastic he was for the 15 or so minutes that he played against West Ham. He ran that back line absolutely ragged and with a bit of luck probably could have had a hat-trick.
Re: 28 - Cenk Tosun - Turkish Delight
Cenk Tosun has completed a loan switch to Besiktas for the remainder of the 2020/21 season.

Everton are still pursuing Joshua King and have now made an offer for the Bournemouth striker.

In the pantheon of famous Everton strikers, I'm putting him somewhere between Stracqualursi and Madar.

If one day my grandkids ask me, saucer-eyed with anticipation, if I ever saw Stracq in the flesh, I'll have to disappoint them with "no lad, alas...but I did see Brett Angell make his debut."

ahhh Brett .. I missed him ... but I saw Robbie Wackenshaw in the 80's I tipped him to be a legend then ... and in fairness I wasn't wrong as he went on to Fleetwood & SouthportRotterdam 1985 wrote:Made 4 Gwladys wrote:Stracq was a legend .. remember his headed clearance off the floor in our box ... classRotterdam 1985 wrote:Made 4 Gwladys wrote:Cenk Tosun has completed a loan switch to Besiktas for the remainder of the 2020/21 season.

Cenk Tosun has undergone surgery in Turkey after rupturing his patella tendon while playing for loan club Besiktas.
The Everton striker sustained the knee injury on Sunday and following the operation he will return to USM Finch Farm to be assessed by the Club’s medical team.
Tosun was due to spend the rest of the 2020/21 season on loan at Besiktas, the Turkish club he spent four years with before signing for Everton in January 2018.

Sounds like a horrible injury, but apparently he might still have a chance to make the Euros.
(I comment on this not because I see Tosun as the future of Everton FC, but because he's another wasted asset on the payroll who's under contract until June 2022. Would be nice if we could shift him on somewhere in the summer.)

Besiktas already said Cenk Tosun won't be joining them end of his loan, even before his Injury, this was a Sam Allardyce signing,
no wonder the Turks bit his hand off for 27 million, waste space. wouldn't be surprised if Allardyce was Cenk Tosun Agent.

I think it was Moshiri who pushed the Tosun transfer through.

You never know, someone might take him. Remember when Moyes somehow convinced Birmingham to cough up £6M for McFadden when he only had 6 months left on his contract? Something like that would be nice.
Re: 28 - Cenk Tosun - Turkish Delight
Besiktas are in talks to sign Turkey striker Cenk Tosun from Everton on loan. The 30-year-old's contract with the Goodison Park club runs out in the summer.
Why sign him on loan if the contract is out in the summer? I suppose you get him off the salary books and make a wee bit on the loan?

If it weren't for the fact that I saw him celebrate at the CP game I would have thought he had already left the club.
