Jags interview after the game was interesting..."stuff was said at half time"...made me think it was bit of a player revolt in the dressing room against Bobby.

Interesting just how aware they are of the fans' reaction. Double interesting that it's clearly Barkley who feels it personally if Jags needs to reassure him.
Can't see Barkley wanting to stay.

He's right, though I couldn't give a shit what Richard Keys has said. He's also interpreting things the way he wants as Martinez hasn't said anything about Moyes.
Regardless, I wouldn't want Moyes back in any capacity. He was great at the time but things have changed. Nothing will be the same!

The bookies have Moyes as 4-1 favorite.

Odds shortening on Pellegrini - he's now the favourite with most bookies, shortest odds are 2-1!

btw, why would you go all the way to Wembley, to boo?
The point about RM has been made, Saturday was the time to rally the troops.
The second half seemed to bring out the anti-boo boys and the support certainly had an effect.
I thought we would have won in extra time. They were flagging more than we were, and Stones moving forward seemed to confuse United, as what they should do. Foofoo may have run them ragged, but all we have now is to cheer on the Foxes!!

Not sure how I'd feel about that. It doesn't particularly excite me though.

I'm worried that he's just an expensive version of Martinez. Not a great one for building on a solid defence is he?

Agreed, an hardly worked wonders given the resources at City. Also, everytime we've played them he comes out with a load of shite afterwards, plus he's as dull as, well Moyes. Although granted, having a positive personality doesn't appear to make you a great manager!

Every time I look at the details of a candidate, my heart sinks. There really isn't anyone out there. Fucking hell. What's Brian Clough doing these days? Oh, right, dead. Shame.

The fact that the club isn't coming out and backing him speaks volumes.
What about Frank de Boer, or Michael Laudrup? Or Simeone?

Board meeting this week.
Should be good then.
Board meeting this week.
Martínez is, at this stage, expected to be in charge for Bournemouth’s visit for what may become a divisive occasion. Some fans have taken to social media to propose various forms of protests at Goodison such as a mass walk-out or waving white handkerchiefs, the traditional show of disapproval in Spain.
Should be good then.

nah, no going back I reckon. He had his chance and he walked away at the end of it. We've moved on now.Blue gazza wrote:Former Everton manager David Moyes is desperate to return to Goodison Park if Roberto Martinez is sacked in the summer.(Sun)

Agreed. Howe isn't going to convince Luka et al to stay.
Howe went to Burnley and got homesick for the south coast.
Re: ROBERTO MARTINEZ - Meet the new boss (Same as the old boss?)
Right, I'm generally not a fan of people returning to their old club, but watch this: https://www.dailymotion.com/video/xztc3a_evewhu1213-1_travel
...and imagine us playing that way with Lukaku, Barkley, Deulofeu. Doesn't seem like there's a lot out there manager wise, could do worse than moyes.

I'm with you Tonts... I'd love to have Moyes back & I reckon he'd succeed with this squad & some good funds to bolster...Tonteau wrote:Right, I'm generally not a fan of people returning to their old club, but watch this: https://www.dailymotion.com/video/xztc3a_evewhu1213-1_travel

I don't blame him for trying his luck at Manure & let's face it he picked up a shit squad from whiskey nose... Fridgehead has proven that Moyes was the scapegoat for SAF leaving a dire squad in his wake
Come home Davey... please !
