Everton v Burnley
Everton v Burnley 3rd round of the Caraboa Cup at Goodison Park Wednesday 1st November 2023.
K/o 19 45pm
Sean Dyche welcomes his old club Burnley to Goodison Park.
Expect A few changes in this fixture with the likes of Beto -Danjuma -Chermittie to get a run out.
I don’t see too many problems with this game although this is Everton and we know not to get carried away
So on that note I’m going with a 2-0 home win for the Toffees.
Beto and and Chermettie on the score sheet UTFTs.

Re: Everton v Burnley
Woah there sef, don't I keep the match thread after west ham? I'm a bit rusty on the rules here.
Re: Everton v Burnley
Ban Sef! Even better, burn him at the stake! This behaviour is unacceptable!
Or do nothing, I don't care.

Re: Everton v Burnley
I can sense a judge is getting a trembly feeling in his undercrackers !

Oh Fuck! It's 01:44 and my Clerk has told me to expect a potential brief in the morning. On the downside, I do believe Sef recently changed his job to achieve a better balance - which would imply a better sense of judgement. It doesn't help that even I can remember that this won't be his first appearance before the Court.
On the Upside, Tonts can write a nice plaintiff's brief so I look forward to receiving (and reading) it.

Re: Everton v Burnley
Given I made a crucial error in my initial WHU match thread, that being it was David Sullivan not David Golds who still owns the club (The latter having gone the way of all mankind earlier this year) I will cede this cup-thread to Sef, hard-working inspiration that he is. However, any losses resulting from match thread appropriation will not be on me. I intend to be be back for the league game against Brighton. Probably best to rest me after my star performance on Sunday, keep me sharp for the league.

So my understanding is that both parties have settled prior to a formal ruling. What is clear that there is precedent now being set in that if it was not an EFL Cup match than Sea would have been banged to rights. I did some checking and readers will not be surprised that as a younger lad, See had a notoriety of regularly appearing on such charges generally out of unbridled enthusiasm.
So Sef - you will keep the EFL Cup thread going so in the hope we get a result against Burnley you will retain the thread for the next round of the Cup. If Everton are knocked out then the world of opprobrium will rightly fall onto your broad shoulders and the calumny of jinxing the cup run will be fairly hard to remove. However we, as participants on this board are as emotionally quixotic as the rest of our fanbase and we will hail you as our good luck totem for an easy draw in the next round.
Tonteau will (if he wishes) create an Everton v Brighton thread AFTER the commencement of the EFL tie. Yes, I will note the timing.
A subpoena for the arrest and presentation to the Court has been issued to M4G to answer to the charge of assuming events in an Officer of the Court's under crackers.

FT. We were ok, quite a lot of kick and rush stuff. Still, 5 wins in the last 7 isn't bad.
Burnley are really poor.

Re: Everton v Burnley
Fulham at home to get us into the semis. Then a draw against port vale or Middlesbrough to make our first final since 2009 would be nice.
