We are allegedly looking at a buy in January. Allegedly.

Everton would like to present an outright buy offer for on-loan goalkeeper Robin Olsen in January, according to a report.

Prince Rupert's Tower cite Tuttomercatoweb as claiming that the Blues want to do a deal for the Swede.

Their article states:

Everton could present an offer to buy Olsen to AS Roma in January. The priority for the Romans is to sign a goalkeeper as Lopez doesn’t offer the safety required. Mirante is young and still polishing his skills so the name of Salvatore Sirigu is being discussed in the Giallorossi offices.

Everton could sign Olsen permanently and the funds collected would be reinvested to bring a keeper at Stadio Olimpico as per the report. Olsen, currently on loan, has had a smooth spell at Goodison so far.

The desire to make the loan signing permanent is a sign that the club management are happy with Olsen and would count him as an important part of the plans.

I see it was confirmed. Good for Sheffiled United and I guess better for him to play in the Championship than be sat on the bench somewhere. I thought he looked decent for us and in the Euros.
