Re: Manure v Everton
Wow, Pickford makes a save from a Rashford freekick but his positioning and reaction time were questionable.
Re: Manure v Everton
Possession 72/28, but a lot of that possession that Utd have had has been spent along the back four.
Re: Manure v Everton
DCL with a good shot from 30+ yards out, straight at De Gea, but I don't mind that the players have a pop at goal like that.

Re: Manure v Everton
Utd continue to try the long ball over the top, with limited success so far really.

Re: Manure v Everton
The corner gets whipped in, DCL and Mina go after the ball as does De Gea who pretty much misses the ball but slightly redirects it right on to Lindelof who guides the ball in to his own net.

No need to sign Lindelof

Re: Manure v Everton
HT, 0-1 after an OG by Lindelof.
Utd started better but in fairness haven't really created much of substance. We have been defending well, and have done rather well to create chances here and there, especially from corners.
Which makes me wonder, is the Utd team pretty short? McGuire and Lindelof are pretty tall, around 190cm I would think, but Shaw looks short for instance.

Re: Manure v Everton
Duncan Ferguson celebrated that goal like, well, like you'd expect really. A half sprint down the touchline towards the very vocal away end, fist clenched.
Bringing back bad memories for Steffen Freund.

Re: Manure v Everton
Yeah, the commentators said it should have stood, reading on the BBC a lot of pundits are saying it should not have been given due to a bit of contact on De Gea.Yankthattoffee wrote:Pundits saying goal should not have been given....Knight of Thorgothshire wrote:Yankthattoffee wrote:Thank youKnight of Thorgothshire wrote:The corner gets whipped in, DCL and Mina go after the ball as does De Gea who pretty much misses the ball but slightly redirects it right on to Lindelof who guides the ball in to his own net.
It really could have gone either way. Granted, I agree with the commentators that De Gea should have been stronger. Lindelof should never have been "exposed" to that ball, De Gea should have punched it clear.
Re: Manure v Everton
The positive thing though is that we actually got the call!Lumper wrote:Yankthattoffee wrote:Pundits saying goal should not have been given....Knight of Thorgothshire wrote:Yankthattoffee wrote:Thank youKnight of Thorgothshire wrote:The corner gets whipped in, DCL and Mina go after the ball as does De Gea who pretty much misses the ball but slightly redirects it right on to Lindelof who guides the ball in to his own net.

Re: Manure v Everton
As per the BBC:
GOAL - Manchester United 0-1 Everton
Victor Lindelof (OG 36 mins)
Goal given!
Right, let's describe that one. Leighton Baines whips in a beauty of a corner, David de Gea can't punch it out under pressure, the ball hits Victor Lindelof facing his own goal and bobbles in.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin had a hand up and into the face of De Gea as he tried to punch it. Keepers get everything so I'm surprised that one wasn't overturned...
