I think the irritant that requires removal is probably Williams .. he has really underperformed and to some extent his poor form has fed on Keane's potential... I am sure that some aspect of Keane's worries emanate from not completely trusting Williams alongside him and thus second guessing....
If we are to ply a back 3 well - then Holgate - Keane - Funes Mori could be interesting

Keane will come good. He looked very assured in the first few games of the season (before we went dogshit).

Against a team playing on the floor, Jags is still the man.Knight of Thorgothshire wrote:Not sure why Holgate is not playing more. And Jags.
Any aerial threat and replace him immediately.
With CP's twin Goliaths on Saturday, Holgate and Jags would have been bullied badly.

Re: 5 - Michael Keane - blows hot and cold
Funny thing is that Palace easily could have scored 3 goals as it was. Benteke missed some sitters, especially the header right after we had scored our 2nd goal.Yankthattoffee wrote:Against a team playing on the floor, Jags is still the man.Knight of Thorgothshire wrote:Not sure why Holgate is not playing more. We're sadly lacking in the bullying game.Knight of Thorgothshire wrote:Funny thing is that Palace easily could have scored 3 goals as it was. Hopefully he’s ok. Some rumors that he’s fractured his skull and is in an induced coma.

Michael Keane has sustained a small hairline fracture of the skull but suffered no other complications.

Michael Keane has sustained a small hairline fracture of the skull but suffered no other complications following a clash of heads in the game against Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.
The 25-year-old defender will be unable to engage in head contact for between three and four weeks, from which point he will be able to resume full training.
Keane, who was admitted to Poole Hospital overnight accompanied by Everton Club doctor, Dr Aboul Shaheir, before being released this morning, said: “Thank you to everyone for all the well wishes and support.
“I’m okay but suffered a small hairline fracture of the skull which will heal itself and means I won’t be able to have any head contact for three to four weeks.
“I will be back with my team and back on the pitch as soon as I can after that.
“I also want to say a huge thank you to the medical staff at Everton and Bournemouth as well as all those at Poole Hospital for their excellent treatment and care.”
Keane scored the second goal with a towering header in a 2-2 draw which maintained Everton’s unbeaten start to the campaign under Marco Silva.
“I was so happy to get my first Premier League goal for Everton,” Keane added. “I’m just gutted we didn’t take the three points, but we keep our unbeaten start going.”

Thanks for the update MC. Scary stuff this. He might be out for a good month and a half is my guess to allow the hairline fracture to heal and then get back to full fitness.
Re: 5 - Michael Keane - blows hot and cold
Has scored the first England goal tonight against Montenegro.

Was good to see him get on the scoresheet after he made a slight mistake for the Montenegro goal.

tough season for MK .. confidence shot to shit...
...and then he scores probably one of the most important goals in the club's history to start the Crystal Palace revival
Come on Keano ... come on Keano, kick on next season

That finish was ridiculous. Like a top4 club centre forward.

Not only that, the header back to him from Holgate. Great awareness from a centre back.

I thought VAR were going to try and invent an offside for one horrible moment.

Worst moment for me while stuck at the airport and following the game via Bet365 was the restart delay after the winner. I just assumed it was for VAR, didn't realise it was for a pitch invasion. That was a horrible few minutes. Nobody messaged me with a "YES GET IN" or anything.
So I just assumed that everyone was waiting for what would have been a predictable VAR nightmare because one of our players' pubic hairs was goal side of the last man.

Interesting. Do we need to free up some wages and/or sell players to balance the books a bit?
Italian side Salernitana are currently in talks with the agent of Everton's English defender Michael Keane and are keen to convince the 30-year-old of the move.
