I'll be pleased to give Moyes another shot at it... personally I think he was marvelous for us with very little cash & I think he could do great things with Moshie's wedge behind him
I say pah to the so called failings at Manure ... the dogshit that SAF left in his wake would have needed a fucking miracle for anyone not to fail he was stitched up.
Scumderland... toasted for a tongue in cheek remark about women... fucking grow up... media selling papers
Sociadad... can't blame him for trying there... got the push after a shit season start... how many times have we seen that & then massive regrets follow (Koooooman anyone !)
As for Moyes at WHU... I bet they wished they still had him now !
Poch won't come... Rafa's a cunt
so... for me
he's going to be better that Silve for sure... and I certainly prefer him to YET ANOTHER fucking gamble on a newbie / up & coming bullshit bollocks man.... remember Bobby bullshit
Sign him !!
M4G, We have always had a difference of opinion so I'm not going to change now, Wanting ''Judas'' back because you think he's better than Silva is a lack of ambition in my opinion,
David Moyes had eleven years at Everton won absolutely nothing. Not since the glory days of the late (Great) Howard Kendall have we had a decent Manager, Moyes-Martinez-Koeman-Allardyce-Silva, none are world beaters all have either been sacked or flirted with relegation. Moyes-Silva-Martinez all taken teams down. We have Farhad Moshiri with Money, so why would you want to buy a push bike when you could have a Ferrari? I do not want Everton to be going backwards and appointing Moyes would be a massive backward step.
Oh and bye the way my choice would be Mikel Arteta with Tim Cahill as Number 2

Everton Football Club can confirm that manager Marco Silva has left the Club.
Majority Shareholder Farhad Moshiri, Chairman Bill Kenwright and the Board of Directors would like to thank Marco for his service over the last 18 months and wish him well for the future.
Duncan Ferguson has taken temporary charge of the first team and will manage the side for the game against Chelsea on Saturday.
The Club aims to confirm a new permanent manager as swiftly as possible.

I'm hoping for a "They'll never take away our freedom" speech on Saturday.
None of this "no raised voices in the dressing room" shyt.
Show 'em your tattoo and glare in their faces.
Then watch them press.

To be fair to Silva he has been unlucky. Didn't sign a CB or CF when we were desperate., lost Gueye, then Gbamin, Delph and Gomes all get injured. Our midfield is laughable without them. Guardiola would struggle with the mob we have left

Agreed. I think we were short sighted to get rid of Koeman
Re: Marco Silva - Boss-man
I think the board need to take a lot of flak here. All the appointments since Moyes left have been very suspect.
Martinez - piss poor record with all the clubs he'd been at.
Koeman - hit and miss throughout his career, rarely in a role for more than a couple of seasons.
Silva - ok record abroad, but as bad as Martinez in England.
If it's BK getting all starry-eyed with about managers with foreign accents, he needs to be locked in a cupboard for the next few weeks. It's time to stop employing managers 'who might be the next big thing but have actually been quite shit so far' and get someone with a proven track record. Although, frustratingly, because of the problems left by the managers above, would anyone with a proven track record want to join us?
Edit - and of course firing Koeman without having a replacement in mind. Totally amateurish.

A few years ago, Pereira insisted that his sides must play a distinct style of football while pressing his opponents high up the field.
He said: 'I like my teams to have total control, of the ball, of the game. I like to see my teams pressing very aggressively, very high up the pitch.
'The important thing is the balance between the attacking and defensive elements, but pressing high is the best way to defend. We have had the best defence in Portugal for the last two years.'

Looks like we didn't have a replacement lined up. Compare with Spurs who sack Poch one day and announce his replacement the next.

TBF .... they could talk to Mourinho whenever as he was not under contract... given our dealings with Watford that is a justification of sorts. The whisper I had heard was that Everton were looking at 3 London clubs - and waiting to see who jumped first.... Pochettino was the ideal but unlikely .... Emery is the name that I had heard.... Pellegrini at a pinch....

Re: Marco Silva - Boss-man
Vitor Pereira says he has pulled out of the running to become the new Everton manager.
The Shanghai SIPG coach was high on the Toffees' list to succeed the sacked Marco Silva on a permanent basis.
Duncan Ferguson is currently in caretaker charge.
"It's an honour and I'm grateful to be considered by a club I have so much respect for but I am still coach of SIPG and SIPG is a club close to my heart," Pereira told Sky Sports News.
"It means that in this moment I'm not in a position to make any other commitments. I need time to think and plan my future by looking at the options I have."
His fellow Portuguese Silva was sacked after 18 months in charge following the 5-2 Merseyside derby defeat by Liverpool at Anfield.
Everton still plan to appoint a permanent manager as soon as they can despite beating Chelsea 3-1 on Saturday under Ferguson.
There was informal contact to gauge the extent of sacked ex-Arsenal boss Unai Emery's interest, while Bournemouth's Eddie Howe is another manager with admirers in the Everton boardroom.
Howe, however, insists he is committed to the Cherries and is unlikely to leave mid-season - while Spaniard Marcelino is another out-of-work coach looking for a route back into football after he was sacked by Valencia earlier this season.
Former Everton manager David Moyes and Napoli manager Carlo Ancelotti have also been discussed, and Pereira's announcement could bring the Scot back into contention.
Pereira, 51, led Porto to back-to-back Primeira Liga titles after stepping up from his previous role as assistant manager in 2011. He was interviewed for the Everton manager's job in 2013 before Roberto Martinez was appointed as successor to Moyes.
After a brief stint in charge of Saudi side Al-Ahli, he helped Greek club Olympiakos win a league and cup double in 2015, but unsuccessful spells followed in charge of Fenerbahce and 1860 Munich.
He took over at Shanghai SIPG in December 2017 and led them to their first league title in his first season in charge.
