Had a quick look and it would appear that he's on loan until the end of the season and we won't be able to re-call him in Jan.

I almost hate to say this, but surely he can't be a lot worse than Davis?

I put Gordon in a similar category as Dowell.

I put Gordon in a similar category as Dowell.

I have found Gordon's appearances pretty refreshing. He's still young, but appears to contribute a bit when he's on the pitch. He needs more playing time to develop further.

We said the same thing about Davies 2-3 years ago, and I really don't think he has gotten any better. If anything, he's a liability losing the ball way too often. Remember when Moyes wouldn't play Barkley because he lost the ball too often in the midfield? Well, Davies must have some naughty photos of Carlos missus....

DM was quite ruthless in that way.
I recall Seamus giving away a penalty with a mid-ait push in the back, and DM promptly benched him.
I'm not so sure CA wanted 7th place, which is a curse. Used the post covid games to assess his stock of staff.
What comes in might be interesting even if not elite.

Interesting point about AC not really wanting the 7th spot. Could be.

This summer will be interesting for sure. If we are to try and push up the table, playing Davies week in week out will not be the answer.
