Re: Everton v Manchester City
Barry and Besic were a great pairing. Much more creative than Barry and McCarthy, but just as solid.
Re: Everton v Manchester City
Nerve wracking last few mins with 10 men but should give us a bit of confidence for coming games against them 😀

Fucking love Sky, eh? First two questions from Pellagrini were moans about ref! Nothing to do with things he did wrong or defending for either goal.

Re: Everton v Manchester City
Mo Besic gives us that bit more bite and energy ,paired well with Barry tonight, apart from their goal are defence played well, robles gave us that extra assurance tonight,Baines nearly back to his best
Also thought the referee tonight ,kept the game flowing.all in all enjoyable game.

Roberto confirms Seamus Coleman suffered a calf strain and predicts he will be out for between 3-4 weeks
"Rom will be assessed. I don't know if he'll be available for the weekend, but I don't expect it to be too serious
Cleverley had a calf problem that flared up at half-time
No word on Baines

Happy with that. Again we should be keeping a clean sheet but there are some signs we are improving defensively. Besic was my MOTM. Barkley was the weak point. He just gave the ball away too many times. He needs to sort himself out soon.

Re: Everton v Manchester City
What we learned tonight.
1. Bobby seems to have given the green light to some defensive training.
2. We now need to work on not being offside and shooting when we have the chance.
3. The Red Lion needs a new head barman.
4. MFG has developed a man crush on Besic.

Re: Everton v Manchester City
Is it a false dawn though? I mean, has our glorious manager really decided that defending is a worthwhile persuit and should be featured occasionally in training routines? Their equaliser didn't bode well for that theory, as it was the sort of goal you used to get in school games - everyone up the pitch trying to join the attack, then suddenly legging back as fast as they could to try to stop the opposition scoring.....
We were one up at home to one of the game's powerhouses, and yet we were caught on the break. What sort of fucking madness is that? I mean, we should have been the team looking to catch them on the break at that point in the game, not the other way round. If Barry/Luka hadn't bailed us out, what would we be saying now? Sack the fucking idiot manager, I should think.
