Re: Everton 0 Spurs 0
Point apiece not much use to either team, but second half was much better for us. First half the gulf was huge.
Re: Everton 0 Spurs 0
0-0
After the first half mauling it's hard to not be pleased a point
both teams should have had a penalty

Probably most of what we deserved. Especially after first half. Marginally better in second half but no really clear opportunities. Our peno was more clear cut then their peno but we lacked an edge today.

Took Herbie to a birthday party this afternoon, so was unable to watch the game live. Managed to ignore my phone, internet and everything else.
Got home and watched the game in 20mins!

Re: Everton 0 Spurs 0
we were dire in the first half, we weren't closing down, couldn't pass and refused to try to beat a player, so basically we allowed spuds to run the midfield virtually unchallenged. McCarthy was particularly poor, but Leon's passing was poor and Mirallas looked a bit lost.
The four Swedes I took to the game must have thought Everton were from the Swedish league. Luckily spuds couldn't score in a brothel, so for all their midfield superiority, our defence was able to shut them out.
Second half we closed down, passed and took players on, we suddenly looked a far better team and spuds looked like they couldn't live with us. AVB tried to switch it around a bit but we were dominating the midfield.
Barkley look lively when he first came on but faded quickly I thought.
I really don't understand what is happening with referees nowadays, friend was just a joke, extremely petty, loved booking players for giving lip, bottled out of our penalty decision (theirs wasn't a pen) and yet gave them a free kick everytime soldado threw himself to the floor. Biggest cheer of the day was when he finally booked a spuds player. Haven't heard a referee booed so loudly at the end of a game for years.
Can't understand why he booked Lukaku when Lloris threw himself across him and they accidentally clashed - if it was a foul play then it would have been a sending off offence as it, but it was clearly accidental so he yellow carded him? Or did I get that wrong?
With Lloris's head injury, I was surprised he let him play on, I was worried he would keel over a few minutes after we restarted? Alos because he had been on the floor receiving treatment shouldn't he have to start the game from the sidelines? or does that not apply to keepers?
All in all while the midfield battle flowed between the two halves, the defences of both teams limited the opposition to long range shots and closed everything down, but it was an exciting game, espeicaly the second half for us. A draw was probably a fair result
Bumped into Jacko after the game, I say bumped into, I was still hungover from the previous night and was heading to me mums with the lads when he shouted out as he passed me - that's twice I've bumped into him in the crowd on a match day.
Also saw a lad, John, I only usually bump into on the Euro trips.... so haven't seen him for a while amazing who you see in the crowds these days.
Now in a hotel at the airport ready to fly out in the morning - tired as fuck!
