Reading have signed Crawley midfielder Hope Akpan on a three-and-a-half-year contract for an undisclosed fee.
The 21-year-old made 60 appearances for the West Sussex club, scoring eight times, and played in their 3-1 FA Cup defeat against the Royals last weekend.

I seem to remember seeing him play for us once or twice and he looked in constant danger of getting a red card. All the best to him, though.

On 14th April 2012, Akpan was sent off in a game against AFC Wimbledon due to a challenge that broke Jason Prior's leg in 2 places.
