Citteh vs Everton
Chris Sutton has predicted a 5-0 win for City, which is probably as likely a score as any. I think we'll hold on at 0-0 until around the 80th minute, giving us hope that we might sneak a point, only for Haaland to score twice. Either way, I won't be watching this

Likewise, I am just going to pretend that this isn't happening.
City 14 (Haaland 12, Summerbee, Power OG) Everton 1 (Power OG)

I'm not going to watch either as I'm in the kitchen cooking a joint of roast beef, roast spuds and so on....
So I'll listen to us getting roasted too... while I sample the bubbly that went on ice at 0900
COYB anyway
actually, mad as I am... I think we may get a draw today

Re: Citteh vs Everton
could be BG ... tbh if we got the money Chaves were talking about before for Gordon I'm ok with that... Mina is always broken so the sooner he goes the better

Re: Citteh vs Everton
I'd have played my patented Anthill Mob seven at the back formation today.
Or my patented Greenham Common formation - all 10 outfield players in a semi circle stretched out from one goalpost to another, arms linked, chanting "we shall overcome" while de Bruyne and Haaland see 50 shots each pinging off various heads, legs and testicles. A tough way to earn a point but they're fucking paid enough to lose a bollock each for the cause.
Even better if they're allowed to hold a placard each. That should protect the top corners of the goal a bit more. I can see nothing in the laws of the game prohibiting placard-holding. And if the placards say something like "Qatar Rocks" then FIFA won't have any issues with it.
Just trying to be creative here. Thinking outside the box.

That Haaland is like the Incredible Hulk. I'm surprised he hasn't turned green by now. Steroids?

Re: Citteh vs Everton
1-1 FT. I think Bubbles had that.
That defies all football logic. I'd have more chance of explaining the principles of particle physics than that result.
It doesn't change that much actually. The real Everton (2022/23 vintage) was seen on Boxing Day, not today. This is a point we had no right to expect, and it might be a little confidence boost, but we're not going to survive this season by sucker-punching Super League teams. We need to beat our fellow dross, especially at home.
But still, major props to Lampard and the team for pulling that off. A slightly happier new year, everyone.

Re: Citteh vs Everton
Great point! I thought we were immense second half.
Demarai Gray MOTM by a country mile. Not just his goal, but the work he put in.
He's the only player we have who could score a goal like that to be fair. I'd like to see him given a more central role in some games, playing off DCL. He did a bit of that today and it was good.

Point means nothing if we don’t beat Brighton. UTFT!

Re: Citteh vs Everton
Here's the goal if anyone needs it, with French commentary.
INCROYABLE!!!!!
By the way, this is why I love Myko. Runs 70 yards on what could easily have been a pointless errand, and takes Akanji with him, giving Gray the space to unleash his worldie.

HAHAHAH even better in French!
That's a goal I will never get sick of watching.

Re: Citteh vs Everton
Of all the truly great teams I've seen in my life, City are by far the most fragile, and it's not even close. Like a priceless Ming vase perched at the end of a fireplace during a kid's birthday party.
And the more I watch that goal on a loop (over 30 viewings so far) the more I see why. They can't actually defend in their own third. There is so much wrong with their defending for our goal that I wouldn't know where to start with it. They're just not used to having to do it. And usually when they fuck up, the score 5 at the other end, so nobody really notices. Until it costs them in the CL for the ninth season running.

Re: Citteh vs Everton
I watched the game and was, like most, fearing the worst before the game started.
Feisty at times, especially when Haaland got all revved up.
Wonderful goal by Gray, will likely be our goal of the season.
