If they win the CL, the media will all be "oh even though they missed out on a unique quadruple, it was a great season" etc, when everyone knows that they're really fucking disappointed.

That's life Jurgen, when you fall short of your goal, it doesn't matter how well you did, you failed.  Our goal was to stay up, so this season actually ended up in success for us!

Klopp couldn't help himself - he had a pop at the Wolves fans after the game for the heinous crime of cheering every time they heard that City had scored. He couldn't keep that to himself, couldn't just bite his lip.

Actually, don't bite your lip Jurgen, you could do yourself some serious damage.

City have won another title but their hearts are heavy because they fucked up the CL again. Liverpool could end the season with three cups including the CL but they won't be happy because the one they really want - the title to take them level with United - has eluded them.

Such is life at the top of modern football - success has to be both permanent and precise, tailored to their exact specifications, otherwise they'll genuinely be unhappy with a fourth title in five years, or only two cups in the same season. And even then, those tailored successes are only meeting expectations. Thursday was so fucking unexpected that it felt like we'd won the lottery, and City and Liverpool simply can't replicate that feeling at the moment, no matter how many trophy emojis they put in their social media bios.

Exactly. So, basically, that was a terrible season for the Shite and Citteh, and a brilliant one for us.

Funny old game eh?

Yep. I assume Pep and Klopp will now be sacked, and my fear is that one or both of them will be in for Lampard.
