Re: Everton v Liverpool
There is no defending them. Often, bad runs are down to bad luck or things just not going your way. But we havent had that. We have been simply awful in every game and lucky to get the points we have won. I know we have had injuries, but the horrific barenrss of our squad was obvious to everyone at the start of the season. Letting Kean go out without a decent replacement was lunatic, and we still have no proper cover at RB or LB. Chickens home to roost and relegation looms large. An absolute shambles!

We've been shit in Derbies before.Made 4 Gwladys wrote:so... rightly I got the piss totally ripped out of me today by a couple of red wankers at golf...
for the first time in 20 years since I've known these guys, all I could say was, you're right.. we are shit.
I'm so depressed about Everton right now... I see no improvement even on the horizon.. I can't even begin to defend the team
I still have the vision of Alcaraz staring up field as we gave them 4 goals.
How about the FA cup defeat to their academy?
I could keep going.....but let's not.
We've driven out Martinez, Allardice, Silva, Koeman etc...
Some were even glad to see Moyes go, but now say "I wish he was here with the money we now have....."
RB had a huge challenge of winning over the fans, and seemed to have gone some of the way, when we lost every decent player we had, like some kind of curse.
Maybe that's the reason we should ditch RB. He brought the curse with him.
Maybe not.

Re: Everton v Liverpool
On a more positive note, what excitement have we actually had since Moyes got us to finish 4th?
One half-decent tilt at a top 4 finish under Bobby...
A couple of moderately respectable runs in the Europa League...
One FA Cup final.
That's it, in 17 years. At least our season had an element of meaning, an actual point, when we used to have to fight relegation battles. We used to beat the Shite fairly regularly in those days as well.
Yes lads, we'll actually have something to play for down the stretch this season. We'll get a buzz out of it, even if it's the wrong kind of buzz.
I mean, I remember saying to my brother after the 1998 Great Escape that I'd never moan about mid-table obscurity ever again. But two decades of boredom is testing that theory to the limit.
We are actually the club equivalent of Rondon, just occupying a space without actually doing anything of note or interest. So fuck it, bring it on. I'm up for a relegation scrap. I'm not scared of Teemu Pukki or Ashley Barnes.

I don't see the point in sacking RB now. At least wait until we have players back and see what happens. Who else would be mental enough to take this squad knowing that they can't spend any money to improve it.
I'm also glad Moyes didn't come back. People forget how stale it had gone with him and particularly the way he shit on us when he left. Fuck him.

Re: Everton v Liverpool
Next 4 games are Arse, Palarse, Chavski and Leicester. Maybe a point v Palarse but zero from the other 3, so probable bottom 3 at Xmas. That is probably when FSW will be sacked, leaving Big Dunc to ride in on his steed!!!!

The only way Big Dunc gets the job is if we get relegated and he's put in charge of a bunch of grizzled hard men and young wannabes in a desperate attempt to regain premier league status.
He might be appointed as a temporary fix if Mosh panics and axes Rafa because the crowd shout horrid things at him when he sits in the directors box on Monday, but if he holds his nerve Rafa will still be in place in the summer.
Anyway, who would take the job now? Big Sam? Ole Gunnar? Maybe Roy Keane? I'd rather stick with the FSW for the moment I think.

Re: Everton v Liverpool
Assuming we lose to Arse, Chavs and Leics (pretty safe assumption) Palarse is the make or break game. Lose that and its 12 without a win and a shitload of consecutive defeats. No option but to go irrespective of the injuries, etc. Its either Zidane or Warnock after that!!
