Re: Arsenal v Everton
FT.
That was decent. Pretty even game overall, we were industrious in midfield and solid at the back. Nothing special, but then Arsenal are nothing special. They were half decent for 15 minutes second half but beyond that they were utterly average.

FT! Well, I can't pretend we deserved that - Arsenal were the better team - but we defended well at least. Hopefully that win provides a springboard to some better performances and results, as we are breathing down the necks of the top 4/5 again.

A win tonight just keeps us in contact with the pack.
Who's likely to faulter?
I think it's academic mate, as we're the ones who are faltering.
We won our first 4 games but since then we have been bang average - 10 wins, 7 draws, 10 defeats.
Realistically I think the only team above us who we can catch is Spurs. West Ham have a nice favourable run-in (we still have to play them of course.)
So if City win the Carabao this week, 7th is guaranteed a European spot and I think that's the best we can hope for. And even that will be this new UEFA Conference League bollocks, which might be good or might be a bit shitty (it might actually be very winnable.)
I would reappraise this, except that we've run out of winnable games against Europe's Elite.
Re: Arsenal v Everton
The game was summed up by Fabian Delph trotting onto the pitch in the wrong socks, like he was turning out for a pub team and his best ones were in the wash.
Re: Arsenal v Everton
Do we have a kit man? Maybe they're his lucky socks? In which case he must have just the one pair, cause this lad has no luck at all.hairy cataract wrote:The game was summed up by Fabian Delph trotting onto the pitch in the wrong socks, like he was turning out for a pub team and his best ones were in the wash.
How did City and England see him as a quality player?
I would have gone for Lil Tom first, unless CA has put him in the shop window?
For all the points we've annoyingly dropped this season, these 3 were a payback.
