Great win tonight, can’t for the life of me think why Carlo would play siggy as striker, embarrassing, should selected young Ellis Simms at least he’s a striker.
Anyway done moaning ,great unexpected result,Digne getting back to form and Iwobi run his socks off.
MOTM Iwobi deserved it.

Re: Wolves v Everton
Digne in a more advanced roll ahead of Godfrey. Looks interesting and gives us added height.
I'm thinking Tosun and otehrs who played the whole 120 minutes on Saturday were buggered today.
Let's do the Villans.

Re: Wolves v Everton
We're gonna win the league!
Brilliant strategy by Carlo - confuse the opposition by playing Siggi as a completely anonymous, disinterested, invisible striker. It was like watching someone who'd won the lucky ticket in a raffle to be an Everton striker. Still, it did the job, and we hammered the Wolves 2-1.
I thought Keane was immense and Iwobi looked a player. Good to have Digne back, he's not bad is he?

Cenk Tosun knackered? proves how unfit he is.
Re: Wolves v Everton
Didn't he put in a 120 minute shift in the cup game?
Maybe doesn't recover well?

I think it's much more likely that Carlo considers Tosun good enough to start against Rotherham, but not in a Prem game, even when he's the last striker standing.
Me and my lad often come up with wacky lineups and formations before an Everton game, taking into account who's available etc. We do this safe in the knowledge that our theories will never be put to the test and we'll never be held accountable for our ideas, unlike Carlo. So, you know, we have a bit of artistic license ("Holgate up front? The new Steve Watson? Hmm, interesting...") And even we have never considered Siggy as a false 9.
This is beyond genius. My only explanation is that Carlo is consuming Lou Reed levels of drugs and that the team selection last night was his Black Angel's Death Song - weird and inexplicable, but it worked.

also Man City didn't have a striker last night... following our lead ehRotterdam 1985 wrote:Yankthattoffee wrote:Didn't he put in a 120 minute shift in the cup game?

It really go's to show how unpredictable the league is without fans, we lost three games in a row and still kept in-touch at the top,
Siggy playing as a number 9 ? doesn't he play for Iceland up front? scores mainly from the penalty spot.
