Re: 30 - Donny van de Beek
Sign him! Or something.
Based on the Barcodes about to be very very very very rich, I suspect that tons are players would LOVE to join "the Project" in the northeast...

Re: 30 - Donny van de Beek
Real Madrid could move for Manchester United's Netherlands midfielder Donny van de Beek in January as they hope the 24-year-old will be available for a low fee because of his lack of game time. (Fichajes - in Spanish)

Maybe we could offer Real Gbamin - he's played even less!

But not to us? Perhaps they see us as rivals for the 4th Champions League spot?

I like this idea that clubs offer their players to selected other clubs only. Like Tesco offering a pound of parsnips to Mavis from Station Road and Stan and Gina from Victoria Street.
Do United offer something like a Clubcard system, with special discounts for their Clubcard customers for a limited time only? If all big clubs do this, can we join the Bayern Munich scheme?
Re: 30 - Donny van de Beek
Crystal Palace are interested in signing Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek on loan until the end of the season.
Talks between both parties are ongoing but the player is known to want regular game time.
Van de Beek has not featured much since arriving from Ajax for £35m, plus £5m in add-ons, in August 2020.
The Dutchman, 24, who signed a five-year-deal at United is open to the move to Selhurst Park.
Van De Beek has not started a Premier League game this season, making just eight appearances from the bench.

Everton have joined Crystal Palace in the race to sign 24-year-old Netherlands midfielder Donny van de Beek on loan from Manchester United.
Re: 30 - Donny van de Beek
Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek is set to join Everton on loan.
Van de Beek has been told by Ralf Rangnick he can leave Old Trafford until the end of the season after a lack of game time.
Crystal Palace were also interested in the Dutchman, while there were enquiries from abroad.
However, Van de Beek has decided to link up with Frank Lampard, who is expected to be confirmed as Everton's new manager.
The former Chelsea boss has been offered the job on Merseyside after Rafael Benitez was fired in January.
Van de Beek is targeting more minutes after only being given four Premier League starts since joining United from Ajax for £35m in 2020.
He has not made any league starts this season, with eight substitute appearances. Dutch manager Louis van Gaal has told him he needs regular game time to be considered for the squad for the World Cup, which begins in November.
Van de Beek will bolster the midfield in Everton's injury-stricken squad, with Tom Davies, Abdoulaye Doucoure and Fabian Delph all sidelined until March.
The Toffees will also hope the loan deal can boost their Premier League campaign.
Everton are currently 16th, just four points above the relegation zone.

Would be good to get him onboard - need to see him with the shirt first on the OS before I "celebrate".
Re: 30 - Donny van de Beek
could be a season saver thisone... Frank will surely play 3 in the middle with the Beek in the middle... however it seems to hinge on Frank actually signing for us..Knight of Thorgothshire wrote:Would be good to get him onboard - need to see him with the shirt first on the OS before I "celebrate".
...Why haven't we had an announcement yet,,, WTF is going on ?

The word from my eldest, who just knows way more about European players than I do these days...
"Hard-working and clever, but slow. He could develop into something similar to Dele Alli when he was good."
So there you go.

I've just watch the first 3 minutes of a youtube video about him and I think your son has it spot on.

He's quite happy if we sign him because he randomly bought an Ajax shirt a couple of years back, the year they got to the CL semi, with van de Beek's name on it.

So the Dutch Andre Gomes then?
I'm glad we've (nearly) sorted out a manager, but do think we're ending January in a worse position to avoid relegation than a month ago. Not just because we've lost Digne, and our entire midfield is either injured, shit or both, but also because the Barcodes bastards are buying an entire new team. If we lose to them, we simply have to beat Leeds and drag them into the relegation battle. Newcastle will definitely survive, so it's between us, Watford, Burnley, Norwich, Leeds and possibly one other - could be Brentford - for the three places of doom.
Re: 30 - Donny van de Beek
critical that we beat the Barcodes... and of course the re-arranged game that they fudged cancellation for before (until they bought a new team) is also pending.. no way will the Barcodes go down looking at their pending purchases todayhairy cataract wrote:Rotterdam 1985 wrote:Made 4 Gwladys wrote:attacking center apparently... would work well with Duke & Allan in the DM maybe ?Armchair wrote:I don't know much about him. Should players bought in this transfer window be allowed to play in games that were postponed due to Covid? Just a thought...
