Everton V Arsenal
Everton v Arsenal at Goodison Park, Sunday 7th April 2019, Kick/Off 14.05 on Sky-Sports/Now-tv.
After back-back wins against London teams Chelsea and West Ham, Everton entertain another London team Arsenal.
Lets hope the Sirens and Z cars theme create an early atmosphere to disrupt the gunners, Another fixture Everton can win if they play the way they did against West Ham,
With just one point away from Seventh place Wolves and a place in Europe we have everything to play for.
Going 2-0 Richarlison and Sigurdsson UTFT's

Re: Everton V Arsenal
Arsenal have been doing well of late, and are on a good run in the league and in the Europa League. They are fighting with Spurs, United and Chelsea for one of two CL places, so they will be coming to win.
Everton have found some form recently, and some good fluidity to their play, but lets not be fooled, we are still fragile when it matters, and this game matters.
Having said that, Arsenal's strong run has been on the back of the invincible home form, and their away form has been more relatively poor. Also they may have their thoughts on their quarter final first leg game against Napoli on the Thursday after facing us on the Sunday, so maybe we are facing them at the right time?
I expect Arsenal to be tight at the back, and if Ramsey, Xhaka and Monreal get through a late fitness test for their game against Newcastle tonight, I wonder if they will be risked against us on Sunday?
Anyway, the gunners to come unstuck at the toffees, 2-1

Re: Everton V Arsenal
We'll be quick out of the blocks, go two up after eight minutes, let them have the ball, hit them on the counter just before half time, 3-0. Quick cup of tea and a fag for the lads in the dressing room, then shore it up in the second half, finishing the game with a late penalty and a 4-0 win.
Re: Everton V Arsenal
0-6 .... again
2 for vPersie, 2 for Keown, Arteta & a Robbie Wackinshaw own goal ... broken hair net for Tosun

Arsenal waiting on fitness of Koscielny and Xhaka

Koscielny and Xhaka have been struggling with respective foot and groin injuries but Aaron Ramsey is fit after a minor groin problem of his own.
Lucas Torreira remains suspended, Danny Welbeck is out with an ankle injury, and knee issues continue to sideline Hector Bellerin and Rob Holding.

Plenty of great performances today. Bernard was perhaps motm but I thought DCL was quality again. I know plenty don't think he's up to it but I think he's the real deal. His hold-up play and control is as good as anyone we've had in a long time. Pisses over that Lukaku fella. If we can turn him into a 12-15 goal a season striker and find a proper goalscorer, we've cracked it.

Probably best performance over 90 minutes all season. I'd agree that Bernard just shaded DCL for MOTM with an honourable mentioned to Gomes. And I'd agree that DCL has really come of age these last few games - he looks like he has everything in his locker except a fucking goal.... if he can score a few of those elusive little beasties then he could become an Everton legend over the next decade. We shall see. Atmosphere was great today too, rocking

Re: Everton V Arsenal
he needs to be at least a 20 goal a season striker if we are to win anything, and today he showed a few hints that he could be, better hints would be actual goals like.Goodison_Gringo wrote:Plenty of great performances today. Bernard, Siggie, and Richarlson all got through on goal on multiple occasions but DCL didn't have one chance (from memory). Having said that, Bernard, Siggie and Richarlson still scored as many as he did.......
Re: Everton V Arsenal
A combination of fans getting behind the team and players showing energy and passion to get into opposition players faces, created an atmosphere only goodison can project, hence the results Everton now getting,
when Bernard-Sigurdsson-Richarlison and Dominick Calvert Lewin start finding the net, Everton will improve more in league position, many fans left Goodison feeling proud yesterday, finally see a team fighting and winning against top six opposition.
still a few games to go but? seventh still up for grabs.

A standing O from all the haters, when Seamus ran the ball out, holding off Iwobi. Never seen such positivity when the lad didn't have to even touch the ball.
Bernie got through a load of defensive work around Digne. Needs to add a couple more tricks other than that scoop thing he did Zabaletta with last week.
Jags was huge. Did you notice the lack of Zonal at all the corners? Jags just assigning everyone, and ta da!
We bullied them but I still think Arse were poor.
Got to keep The Zoom, GG and Gomez. Give us a cracking 9 and 10 and we're in the money next year.
