Everton FC v Swansea
I'm getting giddy ... I don't think I got a draw or a win in more than one game since the board started.... Sam seems to be working out but I'll take the credit
So we welcome the Swans, with Siggy and Williams both showing signs of returning to form. I'm hoping for a few goals but thinking a modest 2-0, with Rooney continuing his race with Lukaku and Siggy curling in a free kick off both posts, the crossbar, and the goalie's arse. I have to wait until I see the highlights but it sounded like Nookie were unlucky, which is the way I like it.

Re: Everton FC v Swansea
I've never heard of this Swansea, who the fuck are they? We'll be fifteen goals up by half time, and spend the second 45 minutes drinking tea and watching box sets on the big screen.
Re: Everton FC v Swansea
I've been to 5 games this season and we have won all 5.
Guess what.....im going to this one. Easy win for big Sam's blue army.

Re: Everton FC v Swansea
My mate is going to this game with his lad, they are Swansea fans, so I'm hoping we don't beat them by too much.
Having said that, they have Bony, and he is getting better with each game, and they have improved so too much shouldn't be read into last nights defeat.
Still, I'm guessing we will defend deep, and try to hit them on the break, then when we score, we will revert to 5 at the back again and shut up shop, so 1-0 to us.

Re: Everton FC v Swansea
Is this another must-win game then in order to start getting some space between us and the drop? Quite a few of the teams below us won this weekend.

deffo thor, if we do this we can focus on the ones above us rather than them belowKnight of Thorgothshire wrote:Is this another must-win game then in order to start getting some space between us and the drop? Quite a few of the teams below us won this weekend.

Re: Everton FC v Swansea
I keep thinking that the wheels are going to come off of the Allardyce Express, and when they do it will be spectacular.
He has forgone any kind of adventurous football and he is happy to grind out results, even draws, as long as we continue to gain points, so I'm not sure what I'm expecting tonight, although I'm sure it will be close to my original prediction of defend deep, score on the break, park the bus.
If it is, then I'm not bothered about going to any more games this season.... unless we get through to the FA cup final like!
Seriously though, I think the team is playing the way he wants them to, and they will do it for a while, before they become bored with it and we start losing again. I wouldn't be surprised if this started tonight.

Re: Everton FC v Swansea
I am hoping that we can find a playing style without too much "interference" from Sam. I mean, Rooney and Siggi, to probably name the two most creative players, will keep on playing the way they know how to, but there will be more defensive duties implemented upon them by Sam. Hence, I am cautiously optimistic....Sack the Juggler wrote:I keep thinking that the wheels are going to come off of the Allardyce Express, and when they do it will be spectacular.

Kyle: The injury to Bony could be a blessing in disguise as I think with the pace and goal threat of Abraham he could be more of a threat to Everton.
Bony's substitution, by the way, is the earliest in the Premier League this season.

Anyone watching this game and can provide any info on what's going on? I am following the game on the BBC Text updates, but...
