Re: Olympique Lyonnais v Everton
I recall Moyes playing a 4-6-0 gambit, which worked on its first outing.hairy cataract wrote:I like it. Who the fuck needs strikers anyway! We've basically playing four defenders, three defensive mids, a number ten and two wingers. It's the future.Yankthattoffee wrote:WTF is this line up?
I know we're low on strikers, but how about playing at least 1?
Got to be worth watching for its boldness or maybe lack of boldness.
Maybe we win the ball and play triangles right up the field.
Maybe Unsy has thought of a Leicester variation. Defend and then hoof it into empty space. Charge!!!

No one on the wing opposite Lennon, makes me wonder if Siggi is supposed to be hugging the edge while the 3 CM's are crowding up the middle of the pitch.Sack the Juggler wrote:Lookman will play upfront with Syggi behind himYankthattoffee wrote:I recall Moyes playing a 4-6-0 gambit, which worked on its first outing.hairy cataract wrote:I like it. Unsyie has fixed the right cos Martina is gash, but on the left he will have Kenny and Beni taking turns to run forward and coverKnight of Thorgothshire wrote:No one on the wing opposite Lennon, makes me wonder if Siggi is supposed to be hugging the edge while the 3 CM's are crowding up the middle of the pitch.Sack the Juggler wrote:Lookman will play upfront with Syggi behind himYankthattoffee wrote:I recall Moyes playing a 4-6-0 gambit, which worked on its first outing.hairy cataract wrote:I like it. Headline from tonight's Echo
Everton ring the changes in Lyon and start without a recognised striker
we've been starting without a recognised striker since Lukaku left in the Summer

Re: Olympique Lyonnais v Everton
Fair play to Unsworth for picking a side that has everyone scratching their heads though.
I reckon it'll be flat back four with Martina on the left and Kenny on the right; Gueye, Beni and Schneids mopping up everything and giving the ball to Siggy; Siggy spraying passes to Lookman and Lennon to charge onto, coming in from the left and right respectively.
8-0 to Lyon. And probably more than that in the second half.

no, he'll change it around in the second half. He learns from his mistakes....hairy cataract wrote:Fair play to Unsworth for picking a side that has everyone scratching their heads though.

Re: Olympique Lyonnais v Everton
Cuco Martina is getting some treatment after an awkward landing as he jumped on top of Maxwel Cornet - who conceded a free-kick for getting under the Everton defender. I think they're getting a neck brace out. This doesn't look good
