Re: Everton v Arsenal
Arsenal attack again, and what I find very worrying is that the defenders barely make much of an effort to get back to defend.

Trying to take Arsenal on on his own but admire the efforts. Think its time for Morshiri to pull the trigger. Massive 6-pointer at Leicester next week. Get Unsie to see us through that one.

I was actually rather optimistic before this game thinking that maybe we could do Arsenal. Well, clearly that was not based on much wisdom.
And Ramsey makes it 4.

Re: Everton v Arsenal
Niasse gets us a freekick from some 22-23 yards out, can we make something out of it?
Re: Everton v Arsenal
I'd be amazed if Koeman is still our manager by lunchtime tomorrow. Disgusted and amazed.
I'm not saying it's all his fault, but the results speak for themselves - we're in the relegation places and only a change of manager is going to lift the players now.
Thanks Mr Koeman now fuck off and never darken our doors again.

All over. Almost fantastic....
Even Kenwright can't hide his displeasure when Sanchez scored to make it 2-5.

FULL-TIME
Everton 2-5 Arsenal
LOUD BOOS on the whistle.
Is that it for Ronald Koeman?
Re: Everton v Arsenal
Got to be it for Koeman. Confidence will be rock bottom.

He really has to go now, even though it's not all because of him of course. A change is needed, and that's the obvious change to make.hairy cataract wrote:I'd be amazed if Koeman is still our manager by lunchtime tomorrow. Disgusted and amazed.

Re: Everton v Arsenal
We looked ok for the first 30 minutes, but as soon as they equalised, you just knew how it would end, and THAT is why Koeman has to go. Everyone in the stadium knew that we would fall apart if they scored.

Re: Everton v Arsenal
Speaking to BBC Sport, Ronald Koeman (hopefully for the last time) said: "The game was over after the sending off, until that time, we fought really well, defended well, it was 1-2 and after that we lose a man and then it is impossible and then punished us.
On tactical change at half-time.
"I knew we had to change something, started with three centre-backs. Sanchez make it really difficult with his movement, change position.
On future
"It is a really tough time, the team are not performing well, the position in the table is not the position Everton should be in. Even after today, I see a lot of positives. It is a negative situation for the team, everything is negative, but I am not like that.
"We had a lot of expectation after last season, those expectations not filling in, that makes the situation difficult."

Re: Everton v Arsenal
I am just amazed by how poorly some of the players have been. I mean, if someone didn't know that Siggi was a £45M player, would anyone ever guess? He did very little today; had a couple of freekicks, but anyone could have taken those and had the same outcome.
Rooney very invisible. When Davies came on at HT, he didn't get much accomplished. It's like the entire team is unsure of themselves.

Disagree with the bold bit unfortunately. Our goal couldn't have been more against the run of play and simply served to paper over the cracks. Yes, we had a good 10-15 after that but that isn't good enough. Completely agree with the rest.
I appreciate that the fixtures, especially earlier in the season, haven't been kind but some of those performances were shocking and were interspersed with some fairly poor Europa League performances too. I was happy to give Koeman some games after the opening five to truly demonstrate where we're at - he's done that in spades. Time for a change.

Arsenal have now scored 100 Premier League goals against Everton, the first time a club has reached the landmark against one team.
