Leaving Manchester United was a tough call but I know I made the right decision in coming home to Everton. Now I want to focus all my energies on helping them be successful.

just need every other player to do the same and we can concentrate on Everton winning something for a change!!!!hairy cataract wrote:http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/41027204

Is right. As every pundit keeps pointing out this week, our squad is packed with English players, young and old, this season. My heart sinks at the thought of all those internationals, under 20s, under 23s, under whatever games that our lads will have to play.
Re: Wayne Rooney
Reading his comments it sounds like he is sticking 2 fingers up to Southgate......and rightly so!

Barkley should make himself unavailable to Southgate as well.

1. Am disappointed that it has happened - and to a certain extent that becomes anger if we are talking a decent over the limit score....Super wrote:http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/sportsnews/article-4843376/Wayne-Rooney-arrested-suspicion-drink-driving.html
2. Recognising that it has happened ... even more angered that it is deemed a newsworthy story ahead of a disastrous Brexit process, an impending nuclear conflict, a hugely devastating human story of human suffering in southern US
3. I do not condone drink driving - I would much rather have the basis that they have back home in Hungary - zero tolerance (0mg per 100ml of blood) - but I equally cannot condone that one gets outed. Now if there had been an accident and damage to other persons/property fair enough... but it is not right that the Police release information this way.

What's the difference between Everton and Wayne Rooney?
Rooney has more points.

It also had a honey trap inside...... following my first initial reaction ... I am angry that he has been so stupid to do what he has... the woman thing is not my anger .... being nearly 3 times over the limit is....
He deserves all he is likely to get.... and I have to say if he is circa 3 times - there is a distinct possibility of custodial sentence..... a real possibility.... as much as it hurts us... it would be the most appropriate lesson to be honest.....

Re: Wayne Rooney
what a tool .. there are drink driving guidelines that the magistrate has to abide by & 3 times over is custodial or circa 100+ hrs community service.... the magistrate cannot overrule these unless there are exceptional circumstanceDa Judge wrote:Statman wrote:hairy cataract wrote:Sack the Juggler wrote:what are the allegations then?Lumper wrote:Fucking knob head

Where does the 3 times allegation come from? Haven't seen that. I have seen tabloid chatter that Colleen is going to ditch him, which will cost him £40m in alimony. I'm not so sure, fourth kid on the way, childhood sweethearts.... mind you, she's established enough as a celeb herself, and he's on a downward spiral so this might be the ideal time to get out before he drags her down.
What a massive fucking bellend. And, typically, all this shitstorm just as he comes back to us. I'm not sure how he survives this if he really was three times over the limit.
Re: Wayne Rooney
surely he wont get a custodial sentence? Isn't it usual not to give the maximum for first time offenders? Most likley a fine, a loss of licence for a couple of years (he can afford to pay for a driver, well at least until Colleen gets her divorce settlement) and 200 hours community service coaching a kids team somewhere?hairy cataract wrote:Made 4 Gwladys wrote:what a tool .. there are drink driving guidelines that the magistrate has to abide by & 3 times over is custodial or circa 100+ hrs community service.... the magistrate cannot overrule these unless there are exceptional circumstanceDa Judge wrote:Statman wrote:hairy cataract wrote:Sack the Juggler wrote:what are the allegations then?Lumper wrote:Fucking knob head

There's a lot of it about
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-berkshire-41146248
and she was going to collect her kids
Judge says charge is "very serious"....
But, yeah, I'd be surprised if it was custodial unless he's a repeat offender, though a website I found says "If a case is so serious that the Court believes community service is an inadequate punishment, a custodial sentence is possible. This would normally occur for breath readings of 116 and above, blood levels of 265 and above or urine of 355 and above". So if he was more than three times over the limit....
Further research has turned this one up: "Former England captain Ray Wilkins received a four-year ban from driving last year after he was found to be three times over the legal limit in London in July 2016."
No charge for all this research, it's my pleasure. Anything rather than doing the work on my desk...

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4850214/PA-drove-drink-drive-limit-SPARED-jail.html
A former PA who escaped jail once for a drink driving offence has managed to avoid being locked up again after she told the court she had been drinking wine to 'cope' with her £15,000 a year job.
The 48-year-old said her actions were partly to blame on accepting a new office job which she said was 'somewhat beneath her' within the hotel industry after she lost her £30,000 a year post as an aide to a successful construction business tycoon.
