Re: Hull City A.F.C. v Everton FC
Danny Mills
Ex-England defender on Radio 5 live
It is definitely an own goal.
David Marshall is going to punch the ball and Dieumerci Mbokani punches his hand. It means he mis-times it and the ball goes in.
A disastrous goal for Hull on the stroke of half time.Tthey had got their noses in front and Marshall had nothing to do until then.
A really poor goal to give away. Mike Phelan will be absolutely distraught.
As a goalkeeper, you have to be very dominant. If the keeper shouted then Mbokani has to get out of the way. There was no Everton player challenging for the ball.

I agree with the second part that we should go on and win this game. Need to get the midfield playing properly, especially since there is a surprising amount of space there.Armchair wrote:Thought we played ok. Not great but ok, apart from a few defensive wobbles. We should be able to go on and win this.

Hull are bypassing the midfield by thumping it long all the time. They are definitely working against Baines.

Barkley has the ball some 20 yards out with just one defender covering him. Instead of taking on the defender he plays it out wide to Baines. Why?

Barkley does very well there to win a midfield battle and tries to play in Lukaku, but it's too far away from him. Not a bad effort though. Looks to me that Lukaku could have moved a bit towards the ball as well.

Front 3 playing better. Valencia needs to get into the game.

Great flick on by Lukaku and Barkley is in on goal, but it's right at Marshall. We need to make these quality chances count.

Hull (Snodgrass) off the crossbar, wow. I guess we are even then when it comes to off the crossbar.

Hull make their first substitution. Meyler off for Clucas, midfielder for midfielder.

Melter hadn't done much. Pity he was taken off.

We get a corner after some decent link up play between Barkley and Valencia.
Re: Hull City A.F.C. v Everton FC
I'd like to see Davies come on again like he did against Leicester.
