Re: Ademola Lookman - Red Bull or Blue?
Sounds like he's had a good finish to the season. Hopefully he'll have learnt a bit, and can come back and claim a regular place under the new manager. Alternatively, if Sam stays on, he'll probably ask for a permanent move to Leipzig.
Still, if he has stepped up, we could start with Lookman on the left and Walcott on the right, which would be pretty exciting.

Hope that means we want to keep him rather than holding out for more cash.

Could be on his way to RB Leipzig permanently. I don't get this at all, why would we want to sell him?

That's a fair point, could be. I sure hope that's not the case though.Made 4 Gwladys wrote:Maybe he wants out... we don't need players who don't want to be hereKnight of Thorgothshire wrote:Could be on his way to RB Leipzig permanently. I don't get this at all, why would we want to sell him?

LOOKMAN LIKELY TO STAY
Alan Myers told Sky Sports News Ademola Lookman, who was far from in favour under ex-Everton boss Sam Allardyce last season and spent the second half of the campaign on loan at Red Bull Leipzig, is likely to stay at Goodison Park at the end of this Transfer Window.
He said: “One significant piece of information is about Ademola Lookman. There’s been lots of interest in him. RB Leipzig have tried everything to get him out of Everton but I can tell you 100 per cent he’s staying at Everton.
"I’m also told he’s going to be a very big part of this season. So good news for Evertonians, Ademola Lookman will be staying at Everton.”

Great news. Now let's see him fulfil that potential.

Re: Ademola Lookman - Red Bull or Blue?
I wonder if Silva is just giving himself a bit more time to decide whether to keep Lookman. He can still be sold to Leipzig up until the end of August, and the club might take a view that, of Vlasic, Bolasie and Lookman, we only need to retain two. We have Richarlison, Walcott and Bernard who are all wingers (and can play other positions), so I can't see us keeping all six players. Surely at least one of Vlasic/Bolasie/Lookman will be moved on to a European club over the next three weeks? I guess we'd prefer it to be either Vlasic or Bolasie, but Lookman would bring in up to £20m, so it could be him.
Re: Ademola Lookman - Red Bull or Blue?
Vlasic seemed a strange signing at the time. Played well against us, so we bought him? I can't see him getting any playing time at all.hairy cataract wrote:I wonder if Silva is just giving himself a bit more time to decide whether to keep Lookman. Likewise Bolasie.
Leaves Lookman who doesn't seem to want to be here.
No Euro footy, so a smaller squad makes sense.
Sell 2 out of 3?

I'd sell Bolasie & Vlasic … and try to keep Lookman… but he's going to need playing time if he's going to be happy to stay... and that's a big IF from what we readYankthattoffee wrote:Vlasic seemed a strange signing at the time. Agree on Vlasic. Decent player but not the right calibre.
Bolasie has the skill but not the end product. Lookman may end up the same but he's young, whereas Bolasie won't get any better.

Sell 2 out of 3?
I'd sell all three. Bolasie has done nothing, Vlasic likewise. Lookman seems to be one of those players that gets better the more he doesn't play for us. Fans seem to have forgotten he was lightweight and made very little impact most times he got on the pitch at Everton. However, if we're keeping one, I'd keep Lookman just cos his sell-on value probably won't diminish too much over the season and he might be a decent impact sub

Exactly
My overriding memory of his games with us is him losing the ball lots and not getting back to defend (obviously apart from his gaol against Citteh)

Re: Ademola Lookman - Red Bull or Blue?
Anymore outgoing?
Everton manager Marco Silva said: "Ademola Lookman is in my plans. He's an important player for our squad. I know the speculation but I've analysed his quality and now is our moment to develop him. He is our present and our future."
"We will see what happens in the next few weeks. When something happens we will let you know."
