Good news. I can't help thinking that his current run form is a flash in the pan (based on his very average goalscoring record in other seasons) but I hope I'm wrong.

Re: 9 - Dominic Calvert-Lewin - always fucking injured
I always thought he was a very good footballer, but not necessarily a very good striker. He seems to be improving by the game in that respect though, getting in better positions. Having Richarlison alongside him has made all the difference I think. Having said that, I'm never confident when he's running in on goal in a one-on-one, and that should be his next area of improvement.
Generally very pleased though, I really like him.

Re: 9 - Dominic Calvert-Lewin - always fucking injured
£80M? Isn't it amazing how some 16 years ago it was "outrages" that Man Utd paid £28M for Rooney?
Re: 9 - Dominic Calvert-Lewin - always fucking injured
If we didn't have Carlo I'd tell Manure to fuck off...
..however imagine what Carlo would buy for 80M given James, Doucoure & Allan collectively cost us less than that !

or... imagine how much he will worth when Carlo has finished developing with him and he is as good as Inzaghi?

Lazy journos, but from the BBC.
Yeah, I could be an option as well.
Manchester United's hopes of signing Haaland could be weakened because of their relationship with his agent Mino Raiola, meaning Everton and England striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin, 23, could be an alternative for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side.
Yeah, I could be an option as well.

Yes, I'm sure DCL would love being on the bench at Old Trafford, behind Rashford, Martial, Greenwood and Cavani, and getting slung on for the last ten minutes of a Europa League game at Atletico Penis on a cold Thursday night.
The only place I could see Dominic going in the next couple of seasons is Spurs if they sell Harry Kane.

Makes Garth Crooks' team of the year.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin: Last season Everton were in total disarray, with the threat of relegation hanging over them. In came caretaker manager Duncan Ferguson, who grabbed the team by the scruff of the neck and invested an enormous amount of faith in a young footballer by the name of Dominic Calvert-Lewin. He led the line gallantly and chased every ball. He even scored the occasional goal. However, when Carlo Ancelotti arrived at Goodison a striker was born. Goals seem to be flying in from everywhere for him now, with England call-ups quickly following. The transformation in the lad's game during the past 12 months has been quite phenomenal and that's why he leads the line in my team of the year.
Did you know? Calvert-Lewin scored 16 league goals in 2020 at an average of 177 minutes per goal - in 2019 he scored 11 league goals at an average of 205 minutes per goal.

For those who didn't watch the game, Calvert-Lewin got booked tonight for jumping too high. Literally.
He rose for a header, the defender didn't jump but didn't duck either. DCL got up so high that his knee made slight contact with the defender's head, and he got a yellow. Dangerous play, I presume!
It's always weird when you know you've just seen something you've never seen before. I don't think he jumped for another header for the remainder of the match. Didn't want to risk a second yellow and a ban for being unfeasibly athletic.
Anyway, he's the talk of the town on Twitter at the moment...

I did see this last night England v Austria in a pointless fixture, most the players won't be Involved in the Euro 20.
Calvert Lewin with amazing spring in his feet jumped on the guy six feet off the ground slightly touched the Austrians
face who made more of the situation that led to Calvert Lewin getting a yellow card, for what appears dangerous play.
your right Rotter's this killed Calvert Lewin's game. although I have to say I never understand Calvert Lewin doing this at
Everton because there never seems to be anyone running on .

Aye, that's because our movement off the ball last season was as bad/non-existent as I think I've ever seen from a Premier League team.
My lad and me debated this at length through the season. He's convinced that Carlo didn't want runners off the ball, he didn't want to expose us defensively by committing too many forward. He wanted as many behind the ball as possible, even when we were attacking, because of our lack of pace when the oppo countered on us.

Re: 9 - Dominic Calvert-Lewin - always fucking injured
Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin has withdrawn from the England squad because of a thigh injury.
The 24-year-old was injured during Saturday's 2-0 win at Brighton and will miss September's World Cup qualifiers.
England face Hungary in Budapest on Thursday, and Andorra at Wembley Stadium on Sunday, then travel to Warsaw to play Poland next Wednesday.
Manager Gareth Southgate has not named a replacement, and will prepare at St George's Park with a 24-man squad.
Calvert-Lewin grabbed his third goal of the new Premier League season on Saturday when he converted a 58th-minute penalty to double Everton's lead at Amex Stadium.
He has 11 international caps and has scored four goals for the Three Lions.
Hope his injury isn't too serious.
