Arsenal vs Everton
Hopefully Gibbo will start this match, as we look a much more balanced side with him pulling the strings.
Arsenal won't shut up shop like a lot of teams have against us this season, so I expect a much more open game, and can see a high scoring draw.
3-3 (Baines, Lukaku and Naismith for us)

Paul Merson has tipped Arsenal to thrash Everton on Sunday because of the Toffees’ poor form in the league this season.
The Gunners have been in top form recently, winning five out of their last six league games.
Everton are languishing in 12th position and their away record has been appalling, losing five out of their last six games.
Merson believes Arsenal will recover strongly after their disappointing defeat by Monaco on Wednesday and beat the Toffees with ease.
“Arsenal will win this match quite easily. Everton are struggling quite badly at the moment and only got out of jail last week with a last-minute goal at home to Leicester,” Merson told Sky Sports.
“It is Arsenal all over really, they will get back to normal and then their disastrous Wednesday against Monaco will all be forgotten about. So I do not see anything other than a 3-0 Arsenal win here.”
Arsenal’s good run of form in the league was reiterated by Arsene Wenger, and he is expecting his team to respond in a positive way following the loss to Monaco.
Wenger told a news conference on Friday: “We are third in the league, we are on a strong run, there is no obvious reason [to be against the team], we don’t play not to go down.
“We want to finish the season in a strong way and keep in this competition as well.
“We are in a strong run in the Premier League and we have to respond to that disappointment in a strong way on Sunday afternoon, that’s all we can do.”
The Gunners have dominated this fixture in the past and have a superior head-to-head record in the league, with 99 wins compared to Everton’s 59.
However, the Toffees have had a good record against them recently and Arsenal haven’t beaten them in the league since 2012, when they won 1-0 with a Thomas Vermaelen header.
Not exactly a thrashing was it Paul?, Everton have players returning from injury, Darren Gibson gave a good account of himself in Europa league match v Young Boys,
Ossie will always be good for 30 minutes, can see Everton stealing this if we keep are heads, Jags played well last night, return John Stones to sure up are defence.
0-1 Everton McCarthy.

Re: Arsenal vs Everton
Gibson was really impressive on thurs. Broke up play and sharp quick passing. McCarthy and Besic either side of him could give us some good balance in midfield. Garbutt pace and delivery down the left hugely impressive too. Don't think L recall such a selection headache for Roberto. Howard, Jags, Stones,Coleman, McCarthy and Lukaku all certain to start. After that, its all about getting the balance right.
Garbutt, Baines or Oviedo down the left?
Barry, Besic or Gibson beside McCarthy?
Barkley, Naismith or Osman front of them?
Mirallas or Lennon out wide? Atsu involved off the bench.
Kone or Lukaku up front.
Id go with
Howard
Coleman Jags Stones Baines
McCarthy Besic Gibson
Mirallas Lukaku Naismith

Great to see Gibson back, at least for the time being. He'll be injured though before the season is over I fear. It's very good to have a selection problem. It'll give some players a kick up the backside.
And Bobby, put Joel back in goal will ya.

My mate is on the same train as the squad on their way to London. Seamus told him that he was going to score tomorrow. Put your house on it.

Heading down to the station shortly for the journey down to Finsbury. Couple of cheeky beers for the train journey to start the day off.

It really is round pegs into square holes at the moment. We have no balance on the left at all. I feel sorry for young Garbutt as he will have no protection with Barks in front of his, because his natural game is to get into the middle.

Phil Neville is the co-commentator. It'll be interesting to hear what he has to say.
