Re: Liverpool vs Everton
Wasn't a classic game, and we were second best by some way, but fuck me I'm feeling good right now!
Re: Liverpool vs Everton
Very happy with a point. Still a lot to work on for the lads, but hopefully this point will make us look upwards instead of looking over our shoulders towards the bottom of the table.

Me too, it will have done our confidence lots of good that result
Re: Liverpool vs Everton
Would have been amazing if Barry's last second flick had gone in..
delighted with a point... we didn't deserve it
great goal

Woah! Avoided watching it but looking forward to seeing the goal!
Sounds like a great point, and it sounds like we are utter shit at the moment. The Shite will be absolutely gutted, if they can't beat us right now they're in big fucking trouble.
Martinez out.

Martinez to be sacked.
Get some shade or AC.
I know. What's he thinking??? No way Jags will get ours as it is abundantly clear that we don't ever bother with practising attacking corners in training these days.
LOL

Re: Liverpool vs Everton
Browning really looks the part
Eto'o is class - his first touch is fantastic (needs to teach Lakaku)
Stones still giving the ball away or getting caught with it too much (a work in progress)
Naismith worked hard without much end product
Baines needs to stop taking corners or practice them more
Jags was average but the goal was pure Class
Not sure what has happened to Lakaku - his first touch is poor

Re: Liverpool vs Everton
watched the whole thing on two bad streams. the up to date one failed just as Jags connected and I had to wait 30 seconds to see it go in....
Thought that was a stonewall penalty for us on Luka. We wuzz robbed

Re: Liverpool vs Everton
Baines looks like he's getting a little spite to his game. The pro foul on Sterling was excellent. Browning looks like the real deal too.
We look 100% better when Eto'o comes on. He's like a big Ossie...

The performance was poor, but the result is all I care for right now.
Jags goal = Pip's Ronaldo tackle.
Our season starts now!

Re: Liverpool vs Everton
Have to take the point. Especially being a goal down.
The defence looks a little bit better. Stones needs to pass more than walk it out. Hibbert was awful.
Our No 5 looks very decent.

Re: Liverpool vs Everton
Fait enough. At least he's not oblivious to the fact that we are not playing that well.
Manager reaction
Liverpool 1-1 Everton
Everton manager Roberto Martinez: "It was a special strike and he [Phil Jagielka] deserves it. He has been getting a lot of stupid criticism. We saw a man who faces adversity full on.
"Our performance on the ball was not good enough but we never gave up. Our defending was excellent and we always looked dangerous on the counter-attack.
"When we were in the final third we got a bit confused and forced the play a little bit too much. Kevin Mirallas getting injured had a big effect on that. What we got today was a real start in our season and real measurement in terms of character and mentality."
Re: Liverpool vs Everton
..............and Rooney will miss our game next week.
