Sunderland 0 Everton 1 (Brown OG)
Yet another cup final, this time in Sunderland. Our last trip to the north east yielded a 3-0 victory, but with Sunderland in a perilous position who knows what type of performance they may put in. Their position in the relegation zone is nothing new and, after a small turn in fortunes earlier in the season, they've reverted back to form and are showing that they are nothing special. With our form this should be a comfortable win.
However, this is Everton and we don't tend to do things the easy way. I'm expecting a tough, hard drawn 2-1 win, with Kilbane scoring all three.

I think we'll find this one hard as we are all a bit high at the moment 0-1 to the blues.

Its time for revenge. They had help from the ref at GP, but hopefully not this time.

never easy at squeky bum time when we're up for a euro spot ... in ths past I'd say we'd possibly draw this one... but RM has the team playing so well & confident I think we'll sweep these aside and totally & utterly batter them 1-0 ... Stones with his first goal

Same as last season when Di Canio's Sunderland beat us and we played shite.
1-0 Wes Brown with an over head kick.

We'll be given a footballing lesson by Sunderland, our defensive frailties will be cruelly exposed, Sunderland will be given more space than the film Gravity, we will get beat 3-0, and Barcelona and Arsenal will both issue statements saying "We wouldn't touch Martinez with a barge pole", Kone to get a hat trick

Can't see Kone just scoring three. He's on fire, remember?Sack the Juggler wrote:We'll be given a footballing lesson by Sunderland, our defensive frailties will be cruelly exposed, Sunderland will be given more space than the film Gravity, we will get beat 3-0, and Barcelona and Arsenal will both issue statements saying "We wouldn't touch Martinez with a barge pole", Kone to get a hat trick

Well according to Poyet the problem with Sunderland is:
4-0 Sunderland then...
"I cannot see it [survival] happening," stated the Uruguayan. "As soon as we go forward we cannot defend. We cannot make decisions. We cannot go one v one. We cannot pass the ball. We cannot get a shot on target. There are so many basic things we cannot do and there is no place to hide."
4-0 Sunderland then...

Another " must win " game for us. Arsenal play in the cup this weekend. If all works out well, we could be 5 points clear of them by next weekend

Midfielder Leon Osman is Everton's only doubt ahead of Saturday's trip to Sunderland.
The 32-year-old had to have five stitches in an eye wound early in last weekend's victory over Arsenal and as of Thursday his left eye had not fully reopened.
Defender Phil Jagielka (hamstring) could be fit to return for next weekend's visit of Manchester United.
Everton (from): Howard, Coleman, Distin, Stones, Baines, Barry, McCarthy, Osman, Barkley, Naismith, Lukaku, Robles, Browning, Garbutt, Alcaraz, McGeady, Mirallas, Deulofeu.

Does RM look like he's rotating in a very even handed kind of way?
In which case, Foofoo for KM, and McGeady for Nais, with Big Luke going down the middle again?
I'm with most of you on the same team which finished the half last week.

Gonna blow it today then
Everton are closing in on the Champions League, and even a draw here would take them above Arsenal into that coveted fourth place.
All the signs, though, point to a win that would be a seventh in a row for Roberto Martinez's men. It would equal Everton's best ever run in the Premier League AND bring up a new club record points total in the competition - with five games still to come.

When have we ever won seven Prem games back to back? I know we won six in a row that was started when Rooney scored his first ever goal against Arsenal, but we've never managed seven, surely?
