Only to be expected at this level, but Stevenage are dirty fuckers. Any lads still fit for the derby will be black abd blue.

do you think it was the tackle or the pitch that did Ovvy ... I don't really want to see it again btwhairberto cataract wrote:Only to be expected at this level, but Stevenage are dirty fuckers. Any lads still fit for the derby will be black abd blue.

He seemed to get his studs caught on the pitch. However you wouldn't think that would break an ankle?

I don't think Robles got the memo about playing out from the back..

It's not hairy, it's Sacko. Hairy isn't like that.

Jesus. Dave Buust all over again.
Have to agree. Looks bad but I am sure Cisse of Liverpool did something similar and recovered well?
I think it tends to come down to how 'clean' a break it is. If I'm right in my thinking, then if it's snapped in one motion then the pieces can be more easily pinned together and the heal can be strong. If it's a series of fractures and the ends are rough then it can be more difficult to pin them back. Only an x-ray will show which it is.
Must be horrendous looking back down at your own leg and seeing it buckled like that.

Oviedo wasn't being tackled. He tried to make a tackle, and rightfully the free kick went against us. Oviedo's basically caught the Stevenage players leg as he's trailed it back ready to shoot. Not sure how it resulted in such an injury though.

I've only looked at the still and judging by how far up the break is, I think it could have been the force of the Stevenage player shooting.

Coverage on Radio five keeps saying "Everton are the 5 times winners of the FA cup". I'm sure Martinez's comments are helping with our image for the media.
Re: Stevenage 0 Everton 4 (Super Nais 2, Heitinga, Gueye)
commentator just said Ovvy ankle has gone & it may be the leg as well

To be fair, we might as well write off the derby. Heitinga and Stones in the middle of defence, Hibbo at right back, no Barkley, no Coleman, no Pienaar, no Foofoo, no Oviedo....
