Terrible display by both teams but, once we gifted them a goal, there was only going to be one winner.

Actually had a glimpse of what my personal hell would be like today - trying to get out of the ground, not moving in a queue, while the RS sang their shitty song over and over again.

So once again we played the "opposition" instead of our own game...

Furthermore:

Too many poor decisions on the team front: Neville had a stinker anyway & he needed to be hauled off by the hour. Hibbert is the answer when we need to defend more.. (surely the first 10 minutes of the 2nd half showed this to be the case).

Coleman was a strange substitution for Magaye because Royston was unavailable/not selected (another tiff?) or Moyes lacked the balls to bring on Victor & withdraw Cahill to the mid. Frankly Coleman has stunk the place out this season (injuries admittedly haven't helped him)

If the back line had held themselves more compact then Sylvain's mistake might have gone unpunished.

Baines should have been subbed earlier - in his "absence" - carrying the knock he picked up - the defence was crumbling - we were still 1-1 and had time to regroup.

But throwing our chances away - it's what we do in spades!

Half Time conversation: "More of the same second half would do me".

Expected them to come at us for next 15 minutes - just weather the storm.

No idea what went through Distin's mind - he is solid 99% of the time, but why make such a poor decision at such a crucial time.

Still half an hour to go, play it short on the deck again - don't lump it, don't show them that you are scared, don't give it away.

Feel sick - happened before, no doubt it'll happen again - never gets any easier though.

You are right Pres - I moaned about loads of decisions, but none of them affected the result.
Hope they don't win it - fear they will though.

If they did win it then there is a potential silver lining to the cloud in that at least they would struggle to get rid of Kenny without a fans backlash. They still haven't recovered from the long term effects of having Rafa at the helm for so long.

Well, it's the morning after, and it still feels like just about the worst experience in all my years of watching Everton. It's only a game and all that bollocks, but that just took the biscuit as far as being an Evertonian goes.

Shoulda coulda blah blah they fucking beat us again and with a winning goal from the fucking lump too.

Am avoiding all media today, don't want to see them talking shite.

Can I also add that there was fuck all atmosphere at Wembley yesterday and it just felt like two club whose glory days are well behind them. Manchester is the dominent city now, with London second. I know we've been down amongst the also rans for a long time, but they felt no better than us - just a club with a bit of money but not enough to really compete at the top level.

I think I'd rather we were relegated and compete in a league where we stood a real chance of making an impact. The only downside is that we'd eventually get promoted and go back to being fodder for the big clubs and the Shite again.

I woke up this morning and asked hubby if yesterday had all been a horrible nightmare and it was really Saturday today? He told me no, the nightmare continues

I feel sick still, we were so close and I felt so strongly we had a superb chance but no, my beloved team really knows how to destroy my confidence. Don't know how I will feel when we play Utd away next week, still now at least I expect nothing except a defeat.

Out of form and with a 3rd reserve keeper we should have charged and kept up the pressure till they cracked.

absolutely sickened. discounting the first derby that's twice this season we've had the chance to stick the knife into the worst liverpool side i can remember, and twice we've just bent over and the rest is just a shameful, sick feeling. we've been playing reasonably good stuff for the last while but just seem to have reverted to type. moyes needs to have a long hard think about how he approaches games in future. while i appreciate he's done a lot for us in his time i'm not sure i'd be sorry if he got another job (spuds) and we got someone like lambert (yesterday's result discounted)

I thought the atmosphere was pretty decent, it just got unbelievably tense a few minutes after it went 1-1. Guys around me who were shouting and talking, suddenly went deadly quiet.
At which point we started playing frightened football. Midfielders afraid of getting ahead of the ball. 17 swapping with 25. Bad call whoever keeps making that one. We lost belief, and as is often the case, you cannot play a whole season or even a big chunk of it, on emotion.
The summer needs a minor facelift. Someone to play off Jelly, as, sadly T17 showed that the old warhorse has had one too many battles. Wide men who have pace. DM has to develop some bottle. His tension bleeds into his players.
Anyhow, I'm sick of the Shyte. Just one bad club. I just hope Chelsea don't run out of steam over the next 3 weeks. A resounding tonking would be a fitting tribute to their season. Over to you Didier.......

I agree before the match it was fantastic, Everton fans really up for it. BUT after their goal I almost felt sick from the tension, could literally feel my nerves jangling, I have never felt the tension in such an unpleasant prolonged way in a game before.
