We owe these big time! Who the fuck do they think they are, letting us poach Mike Walker and then having the nerve to successfully claim damages from us for the privilege!
On the back of three 2-0s in a row I predict a 2-22 result, with Hibbo scoring all 24 goals. We'll riot for going 2-0 down, and riot harder as the nature of the comeback becomes apparent. Kyle Naughton will be boo-ed until he cries and Hoolahan will be sent off for having a silly name.
COYBs!

We'll bottle it and loose and let the RS overtake us.
Norwich will hoof ball and win 2-0. Friend of the family Grant Holt scoring. Les Ferdinand getting a 2nd in 93rd minute.
I remember when we played Norwich in late October 2004 and we won 3-2. 2-0 up, 2-2, then big Duncan scored.

Thought Holt was out suspended for this game, but realised after checking that he was sent off against Wolves for two bookable offences, so just the 1 game ban for him.
Reckon this will be a scrappy Everton victory!
Is Vaughan still out injured for Norwich?

Could be our first 0-0 for quite a while.

Would be the first since we drew 0-0 at home to Wigan on 11-12-2010.

I don't think Nowich will park the tractor bus at home, they will attack.
So we should just pick them off on the break.

Would be nice to provide the RS with their nightmare scenario - us finishing above them in the league and winning the FA Cup. It can be done.

that's what I'm hoping for so the RS can see how well they have "improved" their team with the £120m...hairy cataract wrote:Dixie Land wrote:Michael Crosby S74 wrote:Anyone that arsed?

Agreed. When we played Chelsea in 2009 I hoped but didn't really expect to win. Now I think that we could take either of the other semi-finalists if we get there.

Chelsea have the pressure of a huge CL tie within days of cup semi final which will probably be their only way back into CL next season so priority won't be with Cup. Spurs are under pressure to stay in top 4 so won't sacrifice that for Cup either. Everton probably are in the best place of all four teams to actually win it. There isn't a huge pressure with league finish. Obviously finishing above Shite would be nice but Top 10 would be acceptable if we are in Cup final. Shite are under all sorts of pressure currently and may buckle under weight of expectation fans demand.
I think if we "go for it" against Shite and win who ever we play in final won't have full focus on the tie with the league still unfinished. The main worry for Everton is the amount of games we have to squeeze in around Cup games and how squad will perform. But that whats Moyes is paid to worry about.

Your cutting analysis has now made me wary that the RS will win the thing.

If we lose they will win the damn thing, no doubt about that. It is up to us to save the world from darkness.

Everton: Howard, Hibbert, Baines, Jagielka, Distin, Gibson, Cahill, Neville, Gueye, Pienaar, Jelavic. Subs: Heitinga, McFadden, Anichebe, Stracqualursi, Coleman, Mucha, Fellaini.
A lot riding on the wings today. Neville and Gibson in the middle will be pretty sterile. Gibson will have to push on. Still no sign of Drenthe. Glad to see Gueye given another start to build on his confident appearances lately.
Id take a point now without Fellaini to nit the backs with the forwards. Cahill may get isolated. No Ossie either to keep the ball.

I wonder if DM would try Distin at LB against Sunderland, and keep Baines fresh for semi-final?

Says Ossie has a 'bruised calf' so obviously taking a precaution. Baines seems immune to fatigue. Making his 99th consecutive start in league today. Partly because we have no one at the club that can come near to what he does for us on the pitch. I reckon there will be a lot of counter attacking today. Cant see us spraying the ball about today without Felly and Ossie. I reckon both will start on Monday.

That's nothing mate....
As Brad Friedel racks up a landmark appearance today, it's worth pointing out that this is his 298th consecutive game in the Premier League. He hasn't missed one since 15 May 2004 - just ridiculous.
