Re: Everton 2 vs West Brom 0 (McAuley o.g., Anichebe)
GOAL - Man City 0-1 Sunderland - Seb Larsson
A huge goal in the title race, this one, because Manchester City are behind for the third match in succession. Stephane Sessegnon rolls the ball across the edge of the area for Seb Larsson, who is in acres of space to sidefoot the ball between the diving Joe Hart and his left-hand post. It is against the run of play, but Sunderland are ahead.
Wow, this could be potentially massive for the title race....

Baines and Scharner are going for the same ball in the box and thankfully Baines win that 50/50 or Scharner would have had a clear header from 6 yards out.
More WBA now.

WBA keep the ball for what seemed like 2 minutes and it finally ends when Brunt loses the ball over the extended goal line.

Bainesy did really well that. He had to time it perfectly due to Scharner crouching to head it.

Leon Osman opens the scoring for Everton with a 20-yard strike - but there is a huge element of fortune. Neat build-up play sees Osman spin off his marker and play a quick one-two with Nikica Jelavic before his strike takes a wicked deflection off West Brom defender Gareth McAuley and past a stranded Ben Foster.
They have changed their minds now

Re: Everton 2 vs West Brom 0 (McAuley o.g., Anichebe)
Osman tries a shot from the corner edge of the box and it's a rather terrible effort, way wide and no pace either.
Re: Everton 2 vs West Brom 0 (McAuley o.g., Anichebe)
Pienaar advances and takes the shot on the edge of the box, just wide and Foster had it covered as well.
Re: Everton 2 vs West Brom 0 (McAuley o.g., Anichebe)
Osman with the worst cross I've ever seen from the edge of the box. Or possibly, Osman with the worst shot I've ever seen from the edge of the box. Not sure which it was to be honest.
Pienaar cuts in an drags a shot wide in the time it took me to type the above.

GOAL - Man City 1-1 Sunderland - Mario Balotelli (peno)
Re: Everton 2 vs West Brom 0 (McAuley o.g., Anichebe)
It seems like the majority of our crosses are straight in to the hands of Foster, too close to the goalie in other words.
Re: Everton 2 vs West Brom 0 (McAuley o.g., Anichebe)
Tchoi (sp?) tries to lob Howard but his effort is wide fo the goal.
Re: Everton 2 vs West Brom 0 (McAuley o.g., Anichebe)
HT - 1-0.
We started very well and were well on top up until the goal, but WBA have been more in the game since the goal without really threatening too much, apart from the Scharner chance.

Was Ossie's shot on target before the deflection? Got him as first goalscorer at 11/1 with willhill.
