You too mate, have a great one!Duffy wrote:Easily the better team. Ref was a wanker. I'm off to the pub. Happy Paddy's day.

It wasn't a great 2nd half
We were easily the better team
Final ball was poor.
We like to do things the hard way - we will beat them at their ground.

Sunderland defender John O'Shea on his side's 1-1 draw with Everton in their FA Cup quarter-final at Goodison Park: "We are definitely the happier team. We are delighted to get them back to the Stadium of Light. But it's going to be no easy game just because we are at home."
Re: Everton 1 Sunderland 1 (Cahill)
Martin O'Neill says they deserved the draw.....
"It could have gone either way". And he didn't see our penalty appeals.....

Re: Everton 1 Sunderland 1 (Cahill)
Just back from the school. Seems like I didn't miss much, wish we had won but as least I'll get to see the decider

Re: Everton 1 Sunderland 1 (Cahill)
What a weak referee, so easily conned by those who fall over easily.
Giving yellow cards for tackles that on post analysis were not fouls and ignoring a couple of tackles that on analysis were penalties.
it will be hard to beat them at the SOL. Do they get the same ref ?

For the last 20 minutes it was just hoofball from us. Cross, hoof, cross, hoof.
No variety, so Sunderland just played like it was on their training ground.
So many times their defence backed off for the cross, leaving oceans of space just outside their box, and did we figure this out to our advantage, did we hell.
We gave the Shyte a 3-0 win for this.
A chance gone begging, and as for the ref....................

It was like going back in time at the end, the amount of hopeful crosses from halfway inside their half. I thought John Bailey had been brought on as sub for Baines at one point.
Still did enough to have won though. Ah well, at least we'll be in the draw tomorrow. Bolton will probably beat Spurs, and we'll get them in the draw, get all excited, then get fucked over by Sunderland at their place......
Re: Everton 1 Sunderland 1 (Cahill)
it doesn't really matter ... the shite will win the cup anyway

My thoughts on the match.
Sunderland - I'm not sure that I have ever seen a team who like to maul the other team so much. Stoke do it in their box all the time but Sunderland seemed to do it all over the pitch.
Drenthe was an absolute disgrace today; from start to finish.
The referee was crap.
We were fairly clueless for most of the game. Unlucky with the penalty shouts but we're going out in the replay.

We drew because I was unable to watch it. I'll try to be around for the replay. Any ideas when it will be?

Sunderland will face Everton in the FA Cup with Budweiser Quarter Final replay on Tuesday 27 March, 7:45pm at the Stadium of Light.
Tickets are priced at £20 for adults and £10 for under-16s and over-65s, with Black Cats Bar seats priced at £40. Hospitality prices are available upon request.
Supporters who have renewed or bought a new season card for 2012-13 can also buy an additional adult ticket for £10 or an under 16 seat for £5, when purchasing a full price ticket. (This offer will be available until midday on the day of the game.)
Season card holders have until 5pm on Thursday 22 March to purchase their seat before unsold season card seats go on general sale.
Supporters enrolled in the Cup Payment Scheme will have their season cards automatically updated and do not need to take further action. The general sale of tickets will commence from 10am on Monday 19th March for all seats not reserved by season card holders.
Chief executive Margaret Byrne said: "It was fantastic to see almost 6,000 Sunderland fans in full voice at Goodison Park. Their backing certainly played a part in the result and they have been magnificent throughout our cup run this season.
"We've agreed what we feel are fair and reasonable ticket prices with Everton and it would be wonderful to see the Stadium of Light packed to the rafters for the replay, with everyone getting behind the team."
The Stadium of Light ticket office will be open Monday - Friday, 10am until 5:30pm and Saturday 24th March from 10am until kick off at 3pm.
To purchase tickets for all forthcoming fixtures at the Stadium of Light, simply visit the Stadium of Light ticket office, call 0871 911 1973 (24 hours) or click here.
All tickets are sold subject to ground regulations.
