Correct mate. It was meant to be next Saturday but they haven't got a new date for it yet.

Home to Leicester or Bolton.
Realistically I see the shite and Spurs as teams that would beat us in. I think we should beat or at least take to penalties and win against Chavs and Arse.
come on Everton don't disappoint us and loose at home to Bolton
Arsenal looking powderpuff at the moment against Sunderland but Sunderland don't really have the players to hurt them. It's a windy cool day up north and Arsenal don't really want to be there. We clearly have the measure of Chelsea at the moment, especially while AVB is still there, so yeah, Spurs or the Shite the real dangers for Quarter Finals. Come on Brighton

Re: Everton 2 Blackpool 0 (Drenthe, Stracqualursi)
Back from the game. Entertaining enough, made more possible by Blackpool's scratch XI's inability to defend well - Everton could have pressed the button & put a few more away but the job was done & second gear was all that was required.
It's a pity that a referee (especially an experienced one) can play on from a clear yellow card offence & decline to later bring out the card (Blackpool player) - equally culpable by being fooled by Drenthe's trickery to put the ball in one direction whilst walking into the opponent - not to mention twice failing to get it right for successive dives in the box which resulted in the penalty. Oh well, perhaps Phillips didn't believe it either.
My prediction of 2-1 (Everton 2 & a late Blackpool rally) well and truly ruined by KP skying the gift of a penalty in front of the Street End.
Meanwhile Everton march on. The omens remain good for the Toffees.

In the Times match report it said Baines had a dose of the bug going round the club but wanted to play through it. Said he was throwing up on the pitch in the warm up. Fair play.

I can't say I was impressed by all the players hugging Lonnie Donegan at the end either.Bluejags wrote:In the Times match report it said Baines had a dose of the bug going round the club but wanted to play through it. Said he was throwing up on the pitch in the warm up. Fair play.
Give him a wave and a clap, but keep his bug to himself.
