Re: Wigan 1 Everton 1 (Anichebe)
GOAL Wigan 1-1 Everton - Victor Anichebe
Talk about an instant impact. Leighton Baines has a corner cleared back to him, and his next delivery finds Victor Anichebe, who had only just come on for Tony Hibbert, rising at the near post to glance home a header. Everton are level, much to Tim Howard's relief.

Dangerous Wigan shot, we counter attack and Jelavic is dragged down just outside the box. Booking and a freekick on the edge of the box for us.
Re: Wigan 1 Everton 1 (Anichebe)
baines takes it but it's a pretty soft effort which is also high, over the bar.

GOAL Norwich 2-0 Bolton - Anthony Pilkington
The points should be in the bag for Norwich now. Russell Martin's shot is only parried by Adam Bogdan as Bolton struggle to clear their lines from a corner, and Anthony Pilkington is first to the rebound to bury the loose ball.

I know it's crowded in the box from a corner, but Howard has not been convincing today.

FT. Feels like a point saved after the Wigan goal but can't help thinking that we should have taken all 3 if we were more composed.

Re: Wigan 1 Everton 1 (Anichebe)
Disappointing. Should be beating Wigan. Nothing debut from Jellyboy, including a pointless foul at the end when we were looking for the winner. Best player on the park was Pienaar for me, but Vic looked great when he came on.
Re: Wigan 1 Everton 1 (Anichebe)
1-1, FT. Howard must feel releaved that his fook up wasn't the deciding factor in the game.
Not the best of games, and I feel that Moyes really need to think more about STARTING a game with 2 strikers. This was a winable game, but it was harder to win with just one starting striker.

Relieved that we got an equaliser. It was looking bad for a while after we'd started with a bit of purpose. Great cross from Baines for the goal, brilliant header from Victor. We need to be beating teams like Wigan but a point away from home is acceptable.

and Moyes agrees with me

I thought Steven Pienaar was the best player on the pitch by a mile, he made us play better football and he has lifted the dressing room. You never know what you are getting back but he was superb."

I know the change was forced, but why bring on a defender for a player who is (nominally) playing up front? He had Vic and Jellyfish on the bench, we were playing the worst club in the league and he brings on Neville and pushes Fellaini upfront. It was only when Fellaini started dropping a bit deeper again and Vic came on that we had any attacking threat. It just seemed so negative to me. Even if Jello wasn't ready, the obvious move was to bring on Vic for the second half. I can only think that Moyes was reluctant to do that cos he had it fixed in his mind that he was going to bring the new man on for Stig of the Dump after 60 mins come what may.

Didn't see all the second half so wouldn't like to comment in full.
From what I saw I agree on Pienaar as MOTM, I also thought that Felli did well but in a quiet role.
