Wigan 1 Everton 1 (Anichebe)
Ok, no fucking around here... get the thread on the board fast so it's not nicked..
Fucking Wigan.... who the fuck are Wigan ... fuck off Wigan ....
Jelly belly is going to score a debut goal & super Jon Heits will add another to make it a 0-2 win for the toffees...
This is the 5th thread in my 100 game run... do you believe now.....???
All we need is for Dixie to put 20 quid on Hibbo to score first & we're a cert
If we lose I'm going to chain myself to a Ryanair Boeing 737

We're going to fuck these pie munching fuckers 14-0 with at least eight goals for Jellyarse and a dozen for Straq, making a total of 20 which is fucking mad.

Back down to earth with a bump if we lose this one.
I am not even going to think about it.

Totally winable game, but we said the same when playing Blackburn at home. I hope, and might even start to pray, that Moyes will start with two strikers. Yes, two.

Straq and Vic will be a handful for any defence.

Re: Wigan 1 Everton 1 (Anichebe)
This is the important stuff. It's all well and good putting in a great performance against Man City, but these are the games we traditionally struggle with. I hope we take the game to them and don't get sloppy. 2-1 Everton.
Re: Wigan 1 Everton 1 (Anichebe)
an important game for us so mayes will start off cautious and play hibbo in the middle of defence alongside hibbo, and hibbo at RB and Hibbo in place of Baines. I think Hibbo will start in goal ahead of the improving Howard, and midfield will have Hibbo just in front of the defence, with Hibbo and Hibbo on the wings with Hibbo controlling things in the middle of the park. Up front we'll have Hibbo who will batter the defence and soften them up for Hibbo.
I reckon we will win 1-0 and Hibbo will score on his debut - which will lead to a riot with 10,000 travelling Hibbo's invading the pitch and wiping Wigan off the map....
Moyes - his formations are always too defensive

Re: Wigan 1 Everton 1 (Anichebe)
Agree. I am looking forward to Hibbo's amazing runs and step overs which will make the Wigan players fall over. Hibbo ought to be able to bury some headers as well since Hibbo's crosses have improved quite a bit. Hopefully Hibbo will not be alone in providing excellent crosses for Hibbo though, the other flank with Hibbo need to help out.
Re: Wigan 1 Everton 1 (Anichebe)
Raging won't be able to see the continuing improvement of Everton while in Barca.
The last four games I'd watched have gone from one side of the spectrum to the other.
Bolton 1-2. Awful Awful. Up there with 0-1 Wigan, 0-4 WBA from down the years.
1-1 Blackburn. Not much better. Playing second fiddle to relegation fodder. At least Cahill scored.
2-1 Fulham: Getting better. Felly starting to dominate again. Straq the terminator makes his presence known.
1-0 Man City: easily or best result of the season. Great team performance.
?-? Wigan. Optimism and Confidence high, fresh blood introduced. If Moyes has them all with correct mindset, a similar performance to Tuesday with a bit more guile from Peinaar and goal threat from Jelovic, all points to decent win.
3-1 Blues..

If we lose will Moyes be man enough to concede that it was his fault for not preparing the team properly?

Re: Wigan 1 Everton 1 (Anichebe)
So DM has Rodders and Dizzie available? Maybe the bench for them both.
Are Wigan and aerial threat, which was not really the case with City? Then maybe Dizzie gets the nod if fit. Hibbo to RB.
After Tuesday it's difficult for DM to make any changes, but surely Peanut will come in for Drenthe, who'll warm the bench again.
Knowing DM, he'll continue with Straq and Tim, with Nikki Sevven (see what I did there?) to sub Denis with 20 minutes left.
Lonnie Donegan to get his first goal this time around.

Surely drenthe will be sub from now on? Probably only coming on if we are desperate

Re: Wigan 1 Everton 1 (Anichebe)
I can see Jelavic and Pienaar both being on the bench today. I think we will see them both come on at some point but Pienaar hasn't played much football recently and they both need a while to settle in. I can see a similar line up to the one that started against City, with maybe Distin coming in for Hibbert or Neville (with Hibbert going to right back).
I fancy us to win this one but you never know which Everton team is going to turn up week to week. The players will have to play with the same passion and intensity that they did against City but I fancy us to win this one 2-0 with the Stracq getting on the score sheet and giving Moyes a dilemma with Jelavic. It would be great to see Stracq and Jelavic start upfront like a giant battering ram but I very much doubt it.

Re: Wigan 1 Everton 1 (Anichebe)
I fancied Jelly & Pieman to both start, but then it's tough to change a team that stuffed Citeh isn't it ?... but surely we can't retain Hibbo at CB even though he [played fantastic...
Dilemma

After Drenthe was hauled off, I can see DM having no second thoughts about using Peanut today, assuming he's fit.Made 4 Gwladys wrote:I fancied Jelly & Pieman to both start, but then it's tough to change a team that stuffed Citeh isn't it ?... but surely we can't retain Hibbo at CB even though he [played fantastic...

Tough to even think about dropping the Straq, so I see Jellyroll making a 20 minute cameo appearance when our Straqattack starts to fade.
The big call is, can DM drop Pip?

I hope so, he's been really poor recently while Hibbo has been excellent.

Re: Wigan 1 Everton 1 (Anichebe)
WIGAN v EVERTON (1500 GMT)
Wigan manager Roberto Martinez seems to be relishing the situation his team find themselves in - bottom of the league. "For me it's easier to be in this position rather than in another position in the table where you feel that you've achieved your aim and you haven't." It is a different mood in the Everton camp following their victory over Manchester City. "What a difference it makes if you win one which maybe you are not expected to and you play above your station and the players respond, it gives everyone a lift," said manager David Moyes.
Or course! Who wouldn't want to be bottom of the league?
