And Mancini saying he underestimated Everton in training this week and that he thought the game would be easier. That's a shocking admission.

Right, I'm off to bed. Great night for the club, let's hope it gets better with another signing or two.

Pip's big bruv. They just get members of players family in now - they can't be bothered with former pros.

I have heard he was spotted at Goodison so he may sign. I never saw him myself though.

I think Moyes could turn him into a player. He certainly isn't all that at the moment. I think we were supposed to let City win tonight as a precondition for that deal though......

Goodison was rocking tonight - hope its given the new boy an idea of what the club's about. Mind you, he's going to be unpopular if he takes Straq's place, the fans love him
I was away throughout the Royle days but I didn't think it was wardoggish at all, generally our closing down and tackling was pretty good (excepting the Drenthe Richards stuff) and in general the game was played in a good spirit. We soaked up the pressure and hit them on the break, something we can do with Drenthe, Donovan, and even Coleman, when we have Straq's hold up play.
Fellaini's tackling was immense, and the ref, for once agreed. Moyes got it right and Mancini got it wrong.

They have talented footballers but they seemed to have no direction. Everton were very well organised and caught them on the break on more than one occasion. There really wasn't anything between the two sides."
Apart from one fantastic goal.

Had to go out at H/T so watched MoTD not knowing the result.
FANTASTIC
I struggled watching the last few minutes of the highlights. i thought they were going to come back and win because we were on first.
What a great result, some really big performances.
And Pienaar is back

SAF's MOTD comments were funny.
When told about Gibson's goal after selling him to EFC, SAF said "Part of my masterplan."
Smiling for once.
Great, memorable night. Didn't even feel the cold.

Some reason the goal last night reminded me of Cars against Shite. Ball pinged in from the left, nodded about, eventually laid on for the on rushing midfielder at the edge of the box.
