Everton 1 Swansea 0 (Osman)
Undefeated Everton entertain Wales' Swansea to the floodlight Goodison Park on Wednesday evening.
Swansea will park the bus and try and smash and grab. It has worked for all the other away teams this season at Goodison.
How will Davie Moyes attempt to break down Swansea. Two upfront, Drenthe on the wing, Cahill on the bench, Distin back at CB?
We were poor last season in the evening games, the run will continue, 1-1. Saha 98th minute equaliser.

I have to drop Vorm from my fantasy team. He's been my best player so far....

Swansea won't park the bus. They always try and play. That could be their downfall. I reckon we'll win 2-1. Because we ALWAYS seem to concede.

Yes, this one is set up for us. We always (only?) do well against the clubs that give us some space, because we haven't got good enough players to unpick a locked defence, but we have got good enough players to run amock when they're given loads of room to play.
5-2 to the mighty blues with a hatrick for Straq who will start this game because if Moyes doesn't put out a team with two genuine strikers up front then I will join the "Moyes Out" camp.

have you seen our strikers? which two would you pick? and which two midfielders would you entrust with the centre of the park?
i can't believe anyone would want moyes out, as shit as some of the football is, he's fighting with both hands tied behind his back given the financial constraints.

I still reckon Rodwell and Fellaini can play central midfield in a 442. Both can be defensive and attacking.
I would play Saha and Vellios upfront (if Vellios is available) but would give Straq a try if he is not available. Might as well have a go with 2 upfront, afterall nothing else has worked this season.

Straq and Saha, Velios and Straq, Saha and McAleley - any combination, I don't give a shit. Midfield? Rodwell and Fellaini, Heitinga and Fellaini, Neville and Rodwell - again I don;t give a shit. Let's just try to beat someone instead of parking the bus at home. What's the worst that can happen? Never mind financial constraints, Moyes is being too cautious every game, it's boring as fuck and we're not even managing to scrape results. Fact is, the top 6 are way out of sight in terms of resources and squad, there's fuck all between 7th and bottom place. We should be going for 7th, not trying to keep out of the bottom three.

worst that can happen is we get beat. we're shite, our squad has been depleted by selling and not replacing our assets (just like our off the pitch assets) and we have to act accordingly. staying in the league is the grim priority. everton are fucked.

Only three teams can get relegated, and there are at least a dozen in the frame who have squads no better than ours. Fuck it, what's the point in hanging on at all costs? Nothing's going to change over the next few years, every year there will be a handful of points between 7th and a relegation battle. It's a mini-league of its own. Forget the Cittehs and RS and Chavs, we're never going to be up with them, let's at least play two fucking strikers at home to a shitty little team like Swansea.
Re: Everton 1 Swansea 0 (Osman)
This really is a must win today
And it is a really winnable game
But we are Everton and our season doesn't really start until January
Still, it is time for a clean sheet and a couple of goals
Don't care who scores (AS LONG AS SOMEONE DOES
)

We need to really close down swansea and stop their passing game - they are good at it and it wears teams down - se we need to get in close, all over the pitch; defence, midfield and attack.
and then we need to hit them hard when we have the ball. Which means two things; get the ball out to the wings quickly, get the ball over for Strak & Saha in the middle for a knock down / goal
We really need to break these down quickly as the longer it goes on, the greater the chance that they will score and vorm will keep another clean sheet.
By the way, what are the odds that wayne routledge, who has never scored in the prem, breaks his duck tonight!

You should do the team talk Sacko.

Still looked flawed doesn't it. Playing Neville in the centre of midfield preventing any quick fluid forward moment and no natural player in the hole, I assume Ossie will play there tonight to really be central to things. All hinges on the erratic Drenthe for me, doing something spontaneous.
