Re: Everton 0 Stoke 1
Dom from Liverpool on text, via 81111: "I'm really starting to get tired of Moyes's tenure at Goodison. He sticks to a poor 4-5-1 formation when we need goals, takes too long to make changes, and now it seems he can no longer motivate players. I know he's had next to no money in the past 3 years but it's starting to get stale."

Re: Everton 0 Stoke 1
shit. Ref was utter crap, a fucking joke, but Moyes has to change something now. We're so short of decent ball players but the least he has to do is play either two up front or give Guaye and/or Barkley a go.
Bily, Coleman and Heitinga shoud be dropped. Play Velios up front by all means but play him alongside Straq who is good in the air and at holding up. TIme to give Rodwell a go in central or defence or play him in a midfield with Drenthe, Fellaini, Osman and Guye/Barkley.
Next week I'd like to see
Howard
Hibbo Jagielka Distin/Rodwell Baines
Osman Rodwell/Gueye Fellaini Drenthe
Vellios Straq

Strack had a couple of good touches, didn't he? I don't want to be hard on Vellios but he's not enough of a thug, it looked more like Dunc has been working with Strack.....

It's all irrelevant anyway, cos next week at Arsenal Moyes will play 5-4-1 like he always does and hope Arsenal forget where the goal is. I usually go to the Arsenal game but I took a decision after watching us against ManUre that it simply isn't worth the money these days. Fifty quid to watch Arsenal lay siege to our goal for ninety minutes? Fifty quid to watch Bily play like I did for the third year reserves back when I was a kid? Fifty quid to watch Jagielka hoof balls up to Cahill?
Fuck right off.

Re: Everton 0 Stoke 1
Just got back....yeah we can blame the ref but he didn't score the Stoke goal....poor defending....Stoke controlled us, which isn't much of a task these days. The crowd never got going at all....worst atmosphere apart from us vs Coventry years ago. Gotta say those Stoke fans are noisy bastards...great support but am not feeling generous they're a bunch of cunts. NO man of the match....Moyes needs to have a fucking long look at his formations....yet again I was cursing that useless twat Bily....Coleman should have been dropped several games ago....No pace no penetration no spirit no support no money no fucking hope

Can't blame the referee, we never looked like scoring. Stoke played for the long ball to be played into them and their defence to eat it up. All that happened.
The Greek looked poor v Stoke, imagine him v arsenal.

I agree - Coleman has been great for us but he was supposed to be a stop gap. Now is the time to try something fresh. Bily surely can't start another game for us, so he's got to throw Gueye in and if that doesn't work then Barkley. Hopefully Rodwell is fit now because even though he ain't that great he's a fuck of a lot better than most of our players. Cahill - a great Evertonian, but needs a rest now, he's trying so hard but he offers very little except hard work and passion.
Anyway, if nothing else then drop Coleman and Billy, cos I can't see how anyone can offer less than those two at the moment on the wings. Please please Davey, start with Drenthe when he's fit and Gueye. Rodwell and Fellaini should be able to make up for those two's lack of tracking back?

Amen to that.....unless that goes tits up then I will deny all knowledge of endorsing such changes in personnel

From my angle, wasn't Sorensen the one who got Cahill for what should have been a Penalty, or did I have a bad angle?Knight of Thorgothshire wrote:There is a sniper in the stands. Sorensen is down.
