That's a bit weird, cos it's got the date of Bonfire Night on it, not the Armistice. It's like they're saying 'remember remember the fifth of november, gunpowder treason and plot." Big up to Guy Fawkes, a great rebel. But I don't think that's what they mean to do. They should either have left the date off, or put on 11/11/11.

We will have to match their work rate to stand a chance. Plus they have a striker on fire which we dont. Could be a smash and grab at best.

I think its a coded message, now that the cops are following twitter for insurrection the anarchists have to find some way to get the message out. Cue somebody collecting Gunpowder out of rip-raps to try and blow up Parliament again.

Is this the kiss of death?
Can't understand his reasoning Newcastle 2 Everton 1 (Rodwell) - Page 2 Confused

Newcastle just keep on going, and they passed a real test of their aerial defensive capabilities by beating Stoke on Monday. I was really impressed by how hard their midfield worked too, let alone their defenders.

But the Magpies' great start to the season has just built up the pressure. They will be expected to beat Everton but cast your mind back to when they played Wigan at St James' Park on 22 October. Everyone expected them to run the Latics over, but in the end Roberto Martinez's side were unlucky not to get a point.

The Toffees have not had great results of late but have played better than a run of five defeats in six games suggests, and I am backing them to sneak a win here because I think the big problem for Newcastle boss Alan Pardew is stopping his team from thinking they just need to turn up to get the three points.

Football has a nasty habit of biting you on the backside just when you think you have cracked it, so Pardew and his players have to be careful. But, even if they are beaten on Saturday, it has been an exceptional start to the season and they are in a fantastic position ahead of their games with Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea later this month.

Prediction: 1-2

With Fellaini banned, does anyone think we should try Heitinga in midfield? Or is Rodders capable with perhaps Osman with him?

Hope I'm wrong, but I'm thinking a narrow loss. No fellaini so little protection for our already ragged back 4, can't seem to score and usually conceed. The only clean sheet we've had is when blackburn missed two penalties.

Time for Rodwell and Ossie to step up. I hope so.

Actually getting a wee bit tired of these early kick off games we are having as of late. Another one tomorrow, but at least it's only at 5:45AM (my time) this weekend, and not 5AM like it was against Man Utd.

When I was sailing out of the west coast ports, the time difference was a killer.

Marouane Fellaini is suspended after accruing five bookings this season.

However, fellow midfielder Royston Drenthe returns having served a one-match ban in last weekend's defeat at home to Manchester United.

Phil Neville (hamstring), Sylvain Distin and midfielder Tim Cahill, both carrying knocks, will all have late fitness tests.
