I don't know if this is good or not. I'd quite like to see a proper striker up top

I hope that Moyes feel the same way. It's time we start at least having one striker on the pitch. Vellios holds up the ball well, so I am hoping Moyes will have the "guts" to play him.Armchair Evertonian wrote:Super wrote:Cahill has been passed fit for the game at the weekend, no long term damage from Kompany's challenge.

Either Vellios or Saha would be good for me. Maybe even Stracq could become the new Big Dunc by heading in a winner while on loan.

I was at that game at the pit.

Have to admit that I missed that entire Ferguson/Ince incident though.

Nice to see some good journalism - the Shite had a "strong" start to the season, while ours was "indifferent". Which is why we'll overtake them if we win our game in hand

Re: Everton 0 Liverpool 2
Lawro predicts....
Everton v Liverpool (1245)
The thing with these Merseyside derbies in recent years is that they are nearly always affected by yellow and red cards or, in short, the referee.
This time around, I don't expect a classic.
Everton took stick from some quarters last time out for their defensive approach against Manchester City, but they haven't got a centre forward at the moment and I don't see any problem with setting your stall out to stop a team like City playing. And anyway, for an hour or so it worked.
The difference last week was that Manchester City were able to change the game from the bench - underlining exactly what they can do, but Everton can't.
As for Liverpool, they picked up a win last week after two defeats but this is one of those derbies that is coming quite early in the season, at a time when both sides are settling into their rhythm and blooding new players into the team.
I think if you said to both managers now you can have a draw, they would take it.
Prediction: 1-1

Cahill's leg is black & blue apparently. Will he start? How about giving the Greek a go? Could turn into a heroic moment for the lad to become a legend.

1. We are going to get stuffed
2. If Cahill is not fit we can play a striker and some one who has scored this year

Re: Everton 0 Liverpool 2
I've made it to Goodison. Had to leave at 6.50 due to having to collect ticket 2 hours before kick off. Met Sharpy for the 4th time, really good bloke. I feel Luke shite but am in my 2nd pint, always good for washing down antibiotics. Got a taxi to the ground with a driver who was a fucking red! Really nice bloke to be honest.
Bought a "Holy Trinity" t-shirt from the club shop. Got 3 programs for myself, my mum and a lad at work. Picked my ticket up from the Bullets Road ticket office.
Ready to go now.. COME ON YOU BLUE BOYS!
