Everton Reserves 0-1 Wigan Reserves.
The Blues fall behind to a Shkodran Mustafi own goal. Unfortunate deflection that the German defender could do nothing about.

McFadden close to scoring. Header comes back off the bar from an excellent Gueye cross.

Wigan make it 2-0, before Everton pull one back when Lundstram slots in after a free-kick was knocked into his path by Gueye.

There was a shed load Heitinga could have done about his OG on saturday.

Control the ball, go on a mazy run the whole length of the pitch and slot away the goal of the season?

He should be getting more game time for the first team.Perhaps he gave away a penalty like Baxter?Perhaps Moyes rates him highly and is protecting him from the limelight like Baxter?
I think you mean Barkley mate.
I don't understand why Vellios isn't getting more playing time in the first team to be honest.

Re: Everton Reserves Thread.
Leon Osman and Jack Rodwell will return to action when Everton Reserves take on Bolton at Finch Farm this afternoon.
The duo have both been sidelined since the first-team's home defeat to the Trotters in early January and will be keen to prove their fitness with David Moyes’ men set to travel to QPR on Saturday.
A piece of floating bone in the knee has kept Osman off duty, while England youngster Rodwell has been hampered by a hamstring problem
But the pair will both start in what is a strong line-up for Alan Stubbs’ side.
David Weir, who returned to the Club as a coach last week, makes his second successive start, while there are also places for Magaye Gueye, James McFadden and new signing Francisco Junior.
The former Benfica midfielder agreed a deal to join the Blues on a free transfer earlier this month and has now received international clearance to play.
Marcus Hahnemann will continue in goal after impressing during last week's 1-1 draw at Liverpool, while youngsters Tyias Browning, Ibou Touray and Eric Dier will play in front of the American alongside veteran Weir.
Rodwell, Osman, McFadden, Junior and Gueye will form a midfield five, with Joao Silva set to operate as the lone striker in attack.

Strong side (and McFadden).. Be interested to see how Junior gets on.
