Vic's shout was a penalty, simple as. It would have been given 100 out of 100 times if it happened at the other end.

As you all say, fair result. We tried hard and didn't disgrace ourselves. I'm a Brum supporter for the rest of today.

On a positive note, Rodwell 'played' himself out of a big move today. Turned up to shoot from 20 yards but by and large the game was played around him.

Good analogy.

It'll be worth watching the goal again for offside. Spilled milk and all that, but we certainly didn't get much of the 50/50 decisions today, let alone the Vic pen.

So, on to Wigan we go.

Just back from OT. Not much of a game.

If you were at the game - as I was - you saw a lethargic Utd only threaten Everton largely on the break (often from Everton mistakes) in the first half - our defence was excellent throughout. Come the 2nd half Moyes pulled off the useless twosome and for much of the 2nd half we were the better side. Giggs came on, Everton faded and they nicked it - just about the right result.

Utd did just about enough to win but left it late. They were wasteful at times but good enough to win. Not much to say really from Everton POV - perhaps could have made a bit more of the rare chances we had, maybe a penalty or two, maybe a slight suggestion of offside for the goal (not that I thought it at the time). The right result really.

Oh and how ridiculous is the yellow card for Howard - it's stupid enough to allow keepers to take goal kicks from the other side in the first place (which permits time wasting) - to then punish the keeper for doing what the laws allow him to do is plain farce.

Can't really say I agree with that. There were rather long times where as soon as we got the ball we hoofed it away because we were under pressure. We had a 5 minute good spell halfway through the second half when I started thinking we could maybe nick a point, but that was about it. We were stretched all over the place and it says a lot about the team and its performance (and the opposing team) when the two best players on the pitch were our centre backs. In my opinion of course. Very Happy

The annoying thing is just how predictable this weekend was going to be for the city.
As soon as some staff start talking to the press about chasing the Shyte, Jags probably thought the same as me, and tried to deny it. Shut up!

The Gods and the Devil do not allow such things until there is some kind of exorcism. We get within 2 points of them and we take a 1-0 defeat and they tonk B'ham, who if they are relagated, could lose their chance to go to Europe in favour of guess who?

Where's the freakin' exorcist?

I am in total agreement with BlueJags, i actually thought Man Utd were being stupid in constantly sending in crosses, to their small attack, against our defence. The goal must have been the only header they won.

Saying that a better result than what i was expecting.

We should fucking steam role Wigan
