Odd game, we started the game very well, and the beginning of the second half was also very good. But there were stretches when it was slow paced and not much going on at all.YAKUBLUE wrote:dire game , but we took all 3 points. well done blues,, onwards and upwards![]()

Another stroll in the park, but I thought we were better today than we were against Wolves. But surely Bily has to be dropped now that Coleman is back? Coleman on the right, and keep giving Maguaye a start on the left.

Last chance of a Prem shirt for some of them......

Bily was poor, offered very little at either end. I was rather surprised when Gueye was subbed instead of Bily. Was he tired perhaps? Either way, like you said, Bily ought to be on the bench if Coleman is available.hairy cataract wrote:Another stroll in the park, but I thought we were better today than we were against Wolves. Thought Rodwell did well, never rushed, very composed. Collected loads of balls on the edge of the box, or deep in our half, and brought them out with good distribution.
The defence hardly tested. Not sure how on earth Pedersen missed the, more or less, open goal from 7 yards out on his favoured left foot.

Overall, not a great performance, but we did enough to see off a rather uninspiring Blackburn side.

two defensive mixups though. They'd be goals against a better side. WTF were Baines and Jags doing both trying to head the same ball?

I agree, I'd take £5M for him at the moment. He's just off the Prem pace, it's as simple as that. He would shine with more time on the ball.YAKUBLUE wrote:hairy cataract wrote:Another stroll in the park, but I thought we were better today than we were against Wolves. Blackburn boss Steve Kean: "When Everton scored we were really disappointed because I thought we dominated the first half. We need to focus on our next game against Manchester City and make sure we get the win."
Was he watching a different match?

Sounds like a man trying to tell the owners he's the man for the job. They were second best at the best in that game. Period. We weren't great, but better than them for sure.Hinchcliffe Corner wrote:Blackburn boss Steve Kean: "When Everton scored we were really disappointed because I thought we dominated the first half.
