My feed is so poor I missed the goal - it's stop and go, a slideshow....
Re: Everton 1 (Cahill) Arsenal 2
Howard fucking Webb has cost us this today... his decision not to send off the Arse defender AND allow the goal to make it 2-1 was appalling..
2-1 down against 10 men with 30 minutes left & this would have been a home win...
I'm going to get drunk
Howard Webb is a fucking wankfest

Re: Everton 1 (Cahill) Arsenal 2
All over. Arsenal were good enough to win, but we didn't quite turn up. I wish we had had the urgency that we showed in the last 10 the entire match.
Arteta needs to sit in the next match - he was poor, there's no denying that.

Re: Everton 1 (Cahill) Arsenal 2
True, but I blame us as well. We didn't play well enough for long spells. It makes it even harder to take when Arsenal were not that great, they were just good enough to beat us.Made 4 Gwladys wrote:Howard fucking Webb has cost us this today... his decision not to send off the Arse defender AND allow the goal to make it 2-1 was appalling..

Re: Everton 1 (Cahill) Arsenal 2
Does anyone else think that with some more class in the middle of the pitch (Arteta was poor), we could have won this game?
Re: Everton 1 (Cahill) Arsenal 2
Wanktits.
Jagielka - poor
Saha - poor
Arteta - piss poor
Distin - good
Pienaar - good
Baines - excellent
Coleman - excellent
Cahill - excellent
I think it may be time to give Gueye a few minutes and bring Pienaar inside a little.
Conclusion - that referee was shithouse. can't ever see him getting one of the really big games.

Arteta was very poor today, not sure what's up with him lately. We didn't seem to have enough patience in our build up play today, which was the opposite of the Bolton match.
But I thought the best player on the pitch by a country mile was Coleman. He absolutely raped (tm Alan Pardew) Clichy time and time again. I reckon he gets a bonus every time he makes it to the touchline with ball.

have to totally disagree with your rating of Jags - he put in two or three last ditch tackles that stopped them running away with it. His distribution was poor but it was the same as Distin's.

and very nearly cost us a third when Nasri waltzed past him. Distin bailed him out several times. I just feel that of late he has made too many costly mistakes.
Disagree with you on the distribution too. Distin looks to play it at times. Jags hoofs everytime.

Re: Everton 1 (Cahill) Arsenal 2
Agreed. He's much more valuable to us than Arteta. I thought that Jags did well, some very good last second tackles to save a goal. Arteta losing the ball in the middle of the pitch over and over hurt us on the second goal (he was under some pressure on that one), but then he loses the ball again and Denilson has a free shot on goal from the edge of the box which he drags wide. No, Arteta needs to be benched. Didn't Moyes say that there was no room for Bily in the middle, well now might be the perfect time to give him a game or two there. He can't do any worse than Arteta, that's for sure.Made 4 Gwladys wrote:I thought Pienaar was suoerb.. if we let him go it will be a tragedyGarry Adams wrote:Goodison_Gringo wrote:Wanktits.

I almost lost count of the times it rolled back to Distin and you just knew he was going to hit it long and it either trickled to the keeper or flew straight out of play. He may like his direct runs at times but he is just as guilty at hitting it long as Jagielka is

Re: Everton 1 (Cahill) Arsenal 2
That's a tough situation though, you are retreating and the quick midfielder is taking you on. That's why loads of defenders will make a tackle and give away a freekick (and possibly get booked). It's a really tough situation.Goodison_Gringo wrote:Garry Adams wrote:Goodison_Gringo wrote:Wanktits.

I thought Pienaar also was very good. And he works very hard as well. Him and Cioleman love to take on the defence, which is always a bonus and will cause havoc.Garry Adams wrote:Arteta was very poor today, not sure what's up with him lately. Arteta is too fooking content - making £75k/wk for the next 5 years can do that to you.

Huh? He's just reffed the World Cup final. They don't come bigger than that.
I think he's a decent ref. He's a bit fussy sometimes, but there are worse out there for sure.

Re: Everton 1 (Cahill) Arsenal 2
Coleman was pick of the bunch for me. Pienaar was a bit Jeckyll and Hyde - some sublime stuff, and a high work rate, but sometimes he looks like he doesn't really give a fuck if a stray pass means that they break and score.
Arteta is an enigma at the moment. He really isn't doing anything. Maybe teams have got wise to him and close him down quicker, in which case it may be time to rest him for a few games and stick Bily in the middle. At least we'll find out then whether Bily is as shite as I think he is.
Was very pleased to see Rodwell back. He looked rusty for sure, but he's fucking class.
Heitinga is a liability now, like Fellaini
Is it just me, or is Beckford starting to look better than Saha/Yakubu (not difficult I know)? I thought his shot on the turn was the sign of a player just beginning to get his ego back - which in his case is supposedly fucking huge.
I still think he could come good in the second half of the season.

feeling really down after that - don't know why we cannot score, honestly thought we'd beat these today. Need to go and put my head in a bucket of ice to cool down for a bit

If you find rust flakes in your hair it's from the irony flying over your head

I like Webb normally but how many final warnings did he give Song?
I hate Arse, a nasty snidey little team.
Also I hope Fellaini watched that and thought
"What a twat I am, we'd have won that with me out there"
or alternatively
"I wish I'd waited until this week and gotten sent off for kicking Fabregas in the balls"

We knew their game was long ball but we did well against it.

Longer than we have been. We seem to be running out of ideas.
Moyes playing 4 strikers if you count Cahill was strange. If you want a goal, isn't it better to dominate the midfield? 2 strikers at most, and maybe one of the central defenders push up?
