Torres nice little flicked header aside, no. And Timmy had to get down quickly once in the second half, but they had nothing.

from this angle you can see just how far he oversteps the ball to deck Mirieles... funny as feck. And Stevie wouldn't have gone near the Yak, his modelling career would be over. If webb wasn't so far behind he'd probably have blown

Rather poor highlights. These highlights don't show the first 30 minutes really where we were well on top.

Probably the Yak just shaded it for me as he was on his own for much much of the second half but kept on going. Strangely enough, the introduction of Beckford meant the Shoite had to watch their rearguard a bit more and Yak showed what an intelligent runner he is ( apart from his hold-up play) - he may not have the legs of a few years back but he`s not alone in that Smile

Distin had his best game in a Blue shirt and Tim was, as ever, up for it. He does give away silly yellows these days and that`s a blight on his game. In Derby matches he could easily get a second yellow and screw up our chances and for that alone, he loses out on MoM for me.

I think thats the point the Shite fans seem to overlook. Its not enough just to get a blank cheque book and sign '3 quality players every transfer window' (that quote from Aldridge at the weekend'), it involves COACHING as well! Having an eye for a bargain, bringing through players from the reserves (The Shite must have the worst record in the league on that front), taking players from a previously lower standard and make them into better players, again a shite record for the Shite.

They complain about the money Utd have spent, how much is available to Chelsea and Citeh but fail to see that the cheque book isnt everything. Its sounds juvenile and immature.

I thought it was a bit cringeworthy, to be honest. Just shut the fuck up and get on with your job. Anyone worth their salt knows he's a miracle worker who's done more with his money than anyone in the last 10 years at liverpool. He doesn't need to drop it in on the sly.

Sport.es report. Sent through Alta Vista..funny as fuck!

There was no miracle. Neither the return of Fernando Towers nor the opening of John Henry as new owner of the club served the Liverpool to cover their present miseries. That they are many. The set trained by Roy Hodgson came to lose in Anfield Road against just promoted Blackpool and saw in Goodison Park the perfect scene to make up for. In addition, the wished purchase of the club had brought favorable winds that made foretell a possible change of chip in the game land. It did not happen thus. The Liverpool was again a heartless equipment, without ideas nor criterion. A victim who died yesterday at the hands of her eternal rival, the Everton. Initial vaguenesses on the part of both equipment and a blow on the head of Towers that Howard removed skillfully in minute 24 gave wings, momentarily, to the Liverpool. Pure mirage.

From then, everything was chaste and winning mentality on the part of the Everton, and indolencia for those of Anfield Road. The doubts stopped in minute 34. Cahill, yesterday enchufadísimo, hunted a center and Queen could not avoid that the 1-0 raised in the electronic one. Already in the second part, the Spanish doorman Mikel Arteta cleared the triumph when empalar a ball that had left rejected after corner. A powerful shot that the Spanish doorman could not either intercept. Meanwhile, John Henry, lodged in the theater box, observed the disaster perpetrated by his new acquisition. Much work waits for the leader to him of the North American company New England Sports Venture (NESV) if it wants that this Liverpool returns to be what was.

Yesterday, of course, the new owner could verify of first hand everything what it needs. The last compasses of the duel were solved with inoffensive balls to the pot of the equipment `red' and with the sensation which the whole institution needs a washing of the feet at the top. If the Liverpool showed yesterday little that can say in this edition of the Premier, the Manchester City offered a totally opposite face.
