Everton 3 (Pienaar, Cahill, Arteta) Man Utd 3
Well the international break is nearly over, and the next Premiership game is a lunchtime kick-off against last season’s runners-up Man Utd. This will be our 350th home Premier League game and 700th in total.
The last time we played on Sept 11th was back in 2004 when we played Man Utd’s neighbours Man City and we got a 1-0 victory at the City of Manchester stadium thanks to a goal from Timmy Cahill, who was sent off after picking up a second yellow card for removing his shirt when he celebrated.
Last season saw us gain a tremendous 3-1 victory at home to Man Utd, coming back from a goal behind with goals from Bily, Gosling & Rodwell.
Although apart from this our record against Utd is pitiful. We are 2-6-24 in the 32 meetings since our 1995 FA Cup Final triumph and if we look at games played at Goodison Park in the same period we are 2-2-12.
Can we get our third win against Utd this coming weekend, well I would really hope so, but wanting something and actually getting it, is two completely different things.
Yes Rooney will be involved and I’m sure will get some stick for recent newspaper reports, but will that just fire him up to perform like we know he can?
Moyes certainly has some decisions to make, knowing that Rodwell will be out injured and let’s hope that Jagielka doesn’t pick up an injury playing for England tomorrow night.
Unfortunately I am going to stick with my tipster prediction and think that Utd will win 3-1, let’s hope I’m wrong hey Sef.

Well its typical of our luck/fortune that we get that... Villa after a tonking; now Rooney after all this... that said I do wonder if he has a shocker tomorrow... SAF may be tempted to recognise that this fixture, which has seen Rooney substituted because of his reaction on the field of play, is too important to face with 10-men and he will be allowed to focus on his future behaviour.

WILL FERGIE WANT TOO RISK ROONEY WITH THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE COMING UP?

Along with when we play the RS away, i hate this fixture. I hate watching it and every time the team in red attack i think they are going to score.
1-1

On his current form, I think I'd rather he played.

1-0 to the Blues. Rooney sent off after six minutes, with the chants ringing in his ears. Winner from Hibbert, a mis-hit cross that eludes everyone and trickles into the net. Happy days.

Compared to our away record 0-4-12, our home record is very impressive.

Re: Everton 3 (Pienaar, Cahill, Arteta) Man Utd 3
We are going to lose.
Beckford will start upfront on his own and Moyes will probably recall Osman and keep with Hibbert as right back. Distin will partner Jags again with Heitinga pushed into midfield.

I think he should play Felliani and Heitinga in CDM, with Osman, Arteta and Pienaar in front in Cahill up front on his own. Nice and defensive!

Fuck Wembley.
Fuck big European nights.
That is the pinnacle! I'd give up following footie if that happened. I mean what would be the point? Nothing would/could top that. Rooney sent-off and horrible manc twats crying into their prawn butties at the sight of Hibbo diving into the Gwladys St to celebrate.

Just being realistic mate. I would love nothing more than us to beat the Manc fuckers but I cant see it. I mean, we couldnt even beat fucking Wolves. We have no excuses for our terrible start to the season. We have a fully fit squad and have played some of the lower clubs already. We just havent been good enough.
I would never will any team to beat Everton and I dont have a point to prove to anyone. I just think we will lose. It doesnt mean that I dont love Everton less than anyone else.

Do you think Everton being Everton might just beat these, or get a draw? Be just like us. Fucking up against the shite teams and then turning up against the mancs. Then again our record against them in the PL is horrific. Tough one to call aint it.

I wouldnt be suprised if we do get a result to be honest mate We are a good side but we havent shown it this season. Man Unt are also slow starters and Fulham got a result against them so there is no reason why we cant. We have looked unbalanced this season and I just hope that Moyes doesnt keep making the same mistakes week in week out.

Im not really that down on Everton at the moment, I just cant see us beating one of the best teams in Europe this weekend.

We will turn this season around and I still think that we will finish in the top 4. We will beat Newcastle, Fulham and Birmingham which will put us in a good position going into the derby. We can beat the scummers from across the park in both games this season.

I'm braced for a slow start until Nov/Dec time tbh and then us kicking on in the New Year. Dunno why I've got this feeling we'll do something this weekend, I'm usually always let down haha. Can't see us beating Fulham or Brum tbh, the shite though we owe them twats!
